Delicious! I haven’t had such tasty tamales since I lived near Mexico. They are pretty cheap for how big they are. We had the mole, birria, frijol, and Oaxaca pork. My favorites were the mole Oaxaca style. The masa is really well-made, extremely drool-worthy. We got guacamole as well and it was scooped up fast! That said, the frijol one was a little bland and had cheese in the middle, so if you don’t really do dairy like me, watch out. The Oaxacan style are similar to Colombian tamales from the valley and are pretty big, we ended up taking one home for breakfast. If you haven’t heard of Evelia’s story, look her up!

Best tamales in NYC! Make sure you go early or call before you go to make sure they haven’t sold out for the day. The picaditas are so good. Get the bandera. You wont be sorry.

The food was amazing in all honesty. The tamales were as good as I imagined them to be. I was happy with the food, ambience and service. If you’re looking for good Mexican food in Queens, this is it.

Holy Jesus this is good, I almost stood up and said the grito in the middle the resturant, I restrained myself but holy lord is this the best Mexican restaurant outside of Mexico itself. Beats the absolute hell out of everything in Albuquerque and Juarez. Phenomenal 8000 stars I love this place.

Saw this place on TikTok and how much the owner suffered throughout the years because of the NYPD and just had to try it when I was in town!!!!

Excellent selection of very well made tamales, but when we arrived for lunch they were warm (not hot) and their selection was low. They were out of at least three types from their menu. Between two of us, we ordered six tamales, beans and rice, and when we finished we still hungry. Decided to go with some tacos which were also excellent, and served very hot. Would definitely try it again.

Wonderful, tasty food, especially the red and green salsas. I ordered the red enchiladas, tamales, and a quesadilla. The restaurant is a bit far from the city but worth the long trip. Everything was great!

Such a cute an inviting spot with delicious tamales. Between two of us, we ordered 5 tamales and a coffee and spent less than $12. The tamales Oxaqueños are bigger than a typical tamal and definitely worth the slightly higher price. Can’t wait to come back soon for breakfast!

Delicious and unthentic Mexican food. The restaurant is well maintained and the staff always looks clean and presentable. Be patient when it comes to dining in. Online orders delay table service. It’s best to order your food at the counter and then take a seat. Everything is delicious, but their specialty are the tamales and Cafe de Olla (already sweetened- mexican style coffee). The mole tamales are not my favorite.
