This little shack shows signs of aging, but the food never gets old. I could indulge in the fried whole chicken wings on a daily basis. The wings are flavorful and hot and crispy when served. The accompaniments of fries, biscuit, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, or a slice of bread are equally delicious. My father loves the fried chicken gizzards with honey BBQ sauce.

One of the few food places that stays open late in Evanston. the actual food is mid. Could be better if food came out hot and they had more sauce options. If you take nothing for this review make sure to ask they fry your food fresh. Seems like they have wings and things sitting under heat lamp ready to be tossed in sauce.

Went here all the time in college. Still dream about the 2 thigh 2 leg box with barbecue on the side, or the large chicken bits with a cup of cheese. Catfish nuggets with extra tartar is another staple. Great greasy food for a great price. The only reason to ever travel into Evanston, in my opinion.

order my food in advance, and I went to pick it up and waited about 10 mins. it was my first time trying this place, and the reviews said they had good wings, but I opted out for the perch, and I was not satisfied to say the least. idk if I’ll go back. the staff is nice and pleasant. but the perch is a no-go for me.

Whenever we are in Evanston, this is consistently one of the places we like to visit! The chicken is simply delicious! We always get the whole wings, but I’m sure that the flats and drums are also very well done. The french fries are just OK, though. And, they always put a couple of pieces of bread in the bottom of the basket for you. Nothing terribly special there (it is nice to have for those who enjoying that piece of bread or want to make a quick sandwich out of a piece of chicken).

Don’t expect it to be fancy. This is a no frills, hole in a wall kinda place. I don’t like fried chicken but this place changed my mind. The prices are very competitive and you can get yourself a good meal here. I usually get the fried chicken with rib tips that comes with fries & bread. Always fills me up and food is always very good. Cannot recommend it enough.
