Loved our late lunch at Este for a belated birthday celebration. The menu is very unique with plenty of interesting seafood options. The fish tacos were delicious, and we loved the lunch enchiladas. Service was attentive with great recommendations. I loved the Paloma cocktail and house made chips and salsa. Fresh atmosphere and decor. A truly unique and beautiful restaurant.

We like to pretend we’re senior citizens and come to Este for dinner at the earliest time slot they offer. Helps avoid the crowds, because boy is the restaurant popular. No surprise why though (or why we keep coming back): for a seafood restaurant in landlocked Austin, the quality of the ingredients is superb. Fish and seafood taste very fresh, veg and herbs are from the garden behind the restaurant, and the plates are thoughtfully assembled.

From start to finish I had a great experience. I walked in without a reservation. They asked for my phone number and then welcomed me by name (pulled up my resi profile), clever and nice touch. Dined alone so I sat at the bar which is beautiful. Bartender was awesome-super helpful with food and drink menus. The “chips and salsa” that comes to the table is just wow. Looks wow, tastes wow. Amazing. Wish this was what every chips and salsa was like. Was hard to not eat it all but didn’t want to fill up. The oysters were nice, $7/oyster for the special version. Idk if I’d get them again but fun to try. The fish tacos were fantastic. Great tortillas, great fish, nice crunch, great flavor. He asked if I like spicy and I said yes so he kept the salsa on (habenero based I believe) so it can come without if spicy isn’t your thing. Dessert was also excellent, was hard to choose. The cubana drink was great, loved it! Loved it all. Loved dining at Suerte, was excited to try Este and it did not disappoint

Beyond impressed with this food. Each of the dishes that we ordered were unique in their own way and flavorful. We started with the Ceviche Amarillo which was very refreshing. The broth was very tangy and the fish and vegetables weren’t styled in the cliche chunky manner which the dish is typically served in. Highly recommend starting with this dish if you are coming in on a summer day or evening. It’s plenty to share with two people and probably even three. Next we had the fish tacos. Let me just start by saying that these are the best fried fish tacos I’ve ever had. They were incredibly soft without sacrificing the subtle crunch from the fried batter and the toppings didn’t feel like a separate part of the bite. It all just blended together for a perfect bit. The dish comes with two tacos and it’s a great next dish after the Ceviche! Next, we had the Mussels Al Piquillo dish. These mussels were beautifully presented and equally tasty. The quality of were good, meaning that you don’t get a bunch of grit in your bite. The broth was full of tomato notes and the bread was charred with some salty/savory seasoning which was mouthwatering. This dish was perfect to finish off our dinner items for the evening. Lastly, we had a dessert called the Oaxacan Crema Semifreddo. Every bite that I had of this dish was followed with a “Wow.” It was an unforgettable treat that my just be my favorite dessert that I’ve ever had. An over simplified description of this would be a key lime pie modified in a way that you never imagined possible. Don’t think about it, just get the dish. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also very nice and they gave complementary valet parking which is wonderful!

Este was such a wonderful experience. You walk in and greeted by natural light and friendly faces. My friend and I didn’t have a reservation but able to get a walk in. The wait was going to be 40 minutes. Don’t fret the staff is super nice and will let you order drinks at the bar and drink in the waiting area or recommend going to Bar Toti right next door! Really great patio sitting and well shaded!

Absolutely fantastic! Hands down the best grilled shrimp of our lives. Their tamarind chocolate torte makes me want to never taste any other chocolate desert in my life but that one, in order to avoid tarnishing the memory of what chocolate can be. Amazing aqua frescas and michelada. Delicious in house salsas. The staff have a friendly professionalism that leads one to believe that the work environment must be quality. Our server was sublime, so sweet and super knowledgeable about every dish down to how they are made. Beautiful garden out back. This is the type of place where everything you order will be a marvel so you can’t go wrong and you must return!

Everything was great. We had good service and the food was amazing! We loved all of the dishes. I’d recommend the fish tacos, ceviche, tuna tiradito, Camarones “El Ricas”, and the pesca del dia. Dessert was also excellent, we enjoyed the semifreddo and the pastel de elote. Complimentary valet on site made parking easy.

Great to have a new spot in town. Lively atmosphere, excellent service. But imo not a repeat visit and doesn’t go beyond being a cool spot for a date to a place with truly amazing food. The desert was the best followed by the shrimp. We also had their trout and mole shrimp. The server was very skilled and did a great job with the menu.
