Hands down, absolutely fabulous and amazing! Our family randomly discovered Essex’s while in Salem for a short visit and about to head to the airport to return home. The food exceptional. Whether ordering the greek salad with grilled chicken, the cheese burger, or classic cheese pizza. Everything so yummy! The Pizza truly fantastic, with our daughter proclaiming, “This is the best Pizza ever, can we come back to Salem for vacation for the Pizza!” Also love the atmosphere, friendly staff, and retro arcade games too! Bravo and can’t wait to come back.

I’ve never had the experience that my daughter and I had here before in my life! While in town visiting for the first time we were looking for something to eat but was in sort of a rush. We went on a recommendation here and happened to let our waitress know our situation, and at the point, our waitress took our order and, as we were rushing off to a museum, allowed us to come back and sit and relax and eat after they were closed for the night! She even gave us a slice of pizza on the way to the museum to let us see what was waiting for us! When we got back after the museum we were able to relax and enjoy. I’ve not even gotten to the food yet! The pizza was absolutely delicious and the fries were equally good. I can’t go on enough about our experience that you just can’t get anywhere but here! We will definitely be back when we are in Salem not only for the food but for the friendly hospitality!

This is quite literally the most amazing pizza that I’ve had the opportunity to try in America. The closest best thing you could only find in Italy, I was very, VERY pleasantly surprised. Whatever you’re thinking this pizza tastes like, I can guarantee it will taste 5x better than anything that you could ever imagine. It felt like I was ascending into paradise upon my first juicy bite of that delicious goodness. One of the best pizza restaurants I’ve ever been to, 10/10 will 100% come back AND bring back friends.

The staff here were amazing every single one of them were so nice. My daughter went to go play the crane game to win a duck and one of the ladies cleaning ( cleaning good the underside of tables and all. Really good to see) she gave my daughter a duck she found on the ground instead of just putting it back in the machine. The food was very good. I liked how we could order pizza by the slice.

I came here with some friends and ordered two large pizzas. No complaints. The pizza was delicious and we were served quickly on what was a pretty busy day. The restaurant isn’t big but manages to have ample seating if you don’t mind being a bit cramped but we managed a small group comfortably. The restaurant is fun and lively and manages to be a bright spot in a somewhat depressing mall. I’d definitely recommend for a quick reliable bite to eat in a prime location adjacent to a parking garage.

A great stop for pizza by the slice. The sauce is a little sweet (for my liking), but overall it was really good. Even though it was NY style, the crust was thicker than normal thin-crust pizzas, which I personally enjoyed. Staff was nice and service was quick.
