Brisket was fantastic. The sauce was our preferred flavor with a hint of vinegar. Both the regular and spicy sauces were perfect. The pulled pork was the traditional Texas without fat flavor and too dry for us. We prefer fatty pork, not the boiled dry Texas taste. It was not bad, just not our style. The place is a small place on another Texas backroad.

Delicious BBQ joint in the middle of nowhere. Hidden gem. Must give it a try. All the girls working were super friendly and very helpful. All smiles and great attitude from all of them. I had a loaded baked potato with brisket. My husband had the brisket and ribs with mashed tators and baked beans. We both loved it and will definitely be back.

Absolutely awesome. They have several home made sides you won’t find at other BBQ places like loaded mashed potatoes and bacon wrapped stuffed smoked jalapeños. My new spot when I’m out that way.

My nephew and I had been running around late as we headed to my sister’s place, IN THE WOODS. We had not ate anything since breakfast for my nephew and nothing for me all day. He stopped and got each of us a baked potato. Personally I thought it could have been a little less crunchy, otherwise, it was good. ✔ it out.

By far some of the best bbq I’ve had and a great environment to match. Pulled pork, chicken, brisket and sausage were all great. The lady working told us the sausage didn’t get wrapped correctly and was a little darker and smokier than normal, we still wanted to try it and was not disappointed.

I was passing thru in a semi on TX 19 N just out of Athens, TX and I came over a little hill and saw a BBQ joint on the left side as I was just telling a friend I was looking for some good TX BBQ. I pulled my Kenworth over, and brought up their menu, and commenced to calling in an order. The lady that answered was SUPER SWEET, HELPFUL and KIND.

The young lady at the front had the WORST attitude I have ever experienced!! She acted so put out that she had to wait on us! Then she dropped my boyfriends styrofoam plate on the ground, picked it up and placed it back up on the counter, and when he asked her for a new one she gave the biggest “Go to hell” look and snapped back with “I KNOW I’MMA GET YOU A NEW ONE!!” She was so RUDE!!! We will not be returning to this place anytime soon!!!

I enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and the tea was delicious. Unfortunately that’s where the good ends. I really wish people would watch some videos on how to trim, cut and smoke brisket. Lean brisket is NOT moist brisket with the fat and most importantly the bark scraped off. She literally removed all the flavor from the already too dry and bland brisket. Sides was no different. The potatoes felt and tasted like they were sitting there for days and in mystery juices. The green beans were straight from the can and had a horrible tin taste. At least add something to mask that taste. My coworker asked for moist sliced brisket. She cut it off from a rolled up tube of presliced brisket which I assume is for chopped beef sandwiches. When he mentioned it, he received a bit of attitude about it. Unfortunately we were very hungry and far from anything else, otherwise we would have went somewhere else. There’s potential here, but they need to do some more research and training. And stop wrapping everything in plastic.
