Omg! The food was delicious. I ordered the Large Curry Chicken and Ginger Beer, and was instantly transported to Jamaica. The food was very flavorful and the portions were plentiful. The sweet cabbage and rice and beans, I can still taste it, I loved it. I’m definitely coming back for the Oxtail! Well done, compliments to the chef.

Eric’s Jamaican restaurant is one of those rare gems that you find tucked away hidden but you’re glad that you discovered it. I’ve been going here for lunch every Friday for years. I get the same dish (jerk pork) pretty much every time I go. The consistency with which Eric cooks this dish is astonishing. I get the same dish every time because I absolutely love it and look forward to it every week. Do yourself a favor and go to this fine restaurant. Eric’s food is truly delicious and once you try it, you’ll be back for more.

This place is legit- we ordered the oxtail, jerk chicken, and fried dumplings. Everything was tender, flavorful, and spiced just right. The server also kindly got us a small bowl of carrots and potatoes from the brown chicken to give to our baby, which he LOVED. Already plan on going back.

This place was amazing. Ox tail was off the hook the sweet carrots and cabbage side was something I wasn’t expecting to have at all and was a real treat. Some of the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had!

Good large portions of food. Tasty, but I prefer more spices such as thyme and other common Jamaican herbs. I had curried goat (needed a bit more curry spice), oxtail stew and brown stew chicken. They were all tender and served with flavorful seasoned cabbage, rice & peas and crispy plaintain slices. The waitress was personable and friendly. She was flexible by letting me get two of the dishes as a combination plate. I’m glad that ackee w salted cod fish and escoviche fish are on the menu. I will try those next time. I’m not Jamaican but lived among native Jamaicans for almost two decades and enjoyed their food at least a few times per week and I had traveled to Jamaica for real jerk griiled meats. So I would say I’m a good judge of authentic Jamaican cuisine.

In a time of uncertainty and a possible recession. We should be leaving more reviews for businesses that deserve to be recognized. I have went to a handful of Jamaican Cuisine establishments and they were all a disappointment but Eric’s Jamaican Cuisine was special. I ordered the oxtail with rice, peas, cabbage and plantains. The food was excellent and the most important part of the meal is that the rice was not mushy. The rice was perfect. Also i will point out that the establishment is on a main street that resembles something like Jim Thorpe PA with all the small mom and pop restaurants and antique stores. So if you are in the area and would like something flavorful and filling. Stop by Eric’s Jamaican Cuisine and enjoy. BTW i only finish my entire meal when food is good so this should tell you something from a picky consumer.
