This is our fifth time having Enchanted Szechuan takeout. Food has been delicious every time, and portions are huge! We typically order it medium spicy, which is spicy but not at all too spicy. I wish there was one level between medium and very spicy because we ordered very spicy once and the food was inedible it was too spicy.

We decided to try this place out for Lunar New Year as they’d advertised items on the menu that are usually difficult to find. The portions at this place are large and generous, and the staff try their best, but those are the only two compliments I can think of. The food varied from okay to sub-par. We found a piece of what appeared to be egg shell in a meal devoid of eggs. I in earnest suggest this place works on their cleanliness and consistency as they’re not yet too far gone.

Always a pleasant place. People are always friendly there and caring. Food is always good and authentic. I’ve tried cold noodle twice and it tastes same, it’s really delicious. I love spicy food so i really enjoyed it but if you’re not used to it you can ask them. They also have cold, hot water and hot tea for basic beverage so I liked it too.

Excellent authentic Szechuan food. The dumplings in chili oil are soooooo good. When the dumplings were done, I started drinking the chili sauce from the bowl. My son had the Cumin Lamb which he loved. I had Dry Pepper Chicken that was cooked perfectly. The service was efficient and the staff very friendly and attentive. We will be going back soon.

Food is delicious, although a tad oily. There is a wide variety to choose from – appetizers – scallion pancakes and dumplings in chili oil, were good. So were the lo mein noodles. Service is decent, although the restaurant can improve a bit on the ambience. Overall a good experience.

In terms of Chinese flavor, this place has got it! I’m not usually used to Szechuan cuisine, but everything that we had here definitely had authentic Chinese taste. The balance of numb and spice in each of the dishes was perfect as well, not like every other place that just dumps in a ton of spice and calls it Szechuan food. My only qualm with Enchanted Szechuan is that with every bowl of rice we got, it seemed that the amounts differed almost by about half a scoop, it was very weird. Nonetheless, amazing food and I will definitely come back for more.

My wife (native of Sichuan) and I (native NYer) have had mixed success with this establishment. Most prior visits have been quite good. Not superior Sichuan, but acceptable, especially in the food desert of Norwalk. Today, not so good. Whoever was cooking really didn’t have much understanding of Sichuan food. Too much sugar in 2 of our 3 meals. Our chicken dish reminded me of your average takeout joint. The owners (very nice people) need to take control again and bring back some standards.
