OMG WOW! These are the absolute BEST empanadas I have ever eaten! They come in a variety of meals where you can mix and match flavors like beef, pork, black bean/ pland cheese. They probably have even more if you ask. They are GLUTEN FREE and the flavor is spectacular! I tried the cheese and my husband got the beef and black bean with plantains. The owner even makes homemade sauces. A green mild and red spicy. Mix the two and you have and amazing flavor and a little heat to go along with the flavor of the empanadas! The cheese is a food lovers dream. Cheese just dripping out of the middle of this creation is like a piece of fine art! What can I say except that I have been craving these empanadas since I had them last week!

I thought I had pictures of the empanadas. I must have eaten them too fast! Not your traditional empanadas they are bigger ” American” size but with unbelievable Costa Rican fillings!

If you haven’t been to Empanada King, you’re missing out, great customer service. The owner and his wife are very nice people. They came to the table and talked with us like if we’ve known each other forever. It was a very pleasant experience. The empanadas were delicious, chicken beef/pork, and to top it off, we had guava cheese and plantain empanada for dessert. My wife and I had a very pleasant time, and we will definitely be back.

Awesome food! Empanada King is customer service oriented and fun to talk to. He made our family from Kansas City feel welcome and like guests. Empanadas best I have had since a trip to Buenos Aires years ago!!

Very good. I thought it was pricey at first but they pack a lot of stuff in them so it’s really a good value. They are corn flour tortilla and with a wheat allergy I didn’t seem to have any reactions to their fryer oil either. I’ve had issues at other places with corn flour tortillas, I believe due to fryer oil cross contamination.

This place reeks of ‘OLD fried OIL’. The deep-fried empanadas here are dreadful; I couldn’t even bring myself to finish them. They are overpriced and the empanadas themselves are spongy and oily, which is far from healthy. Moreover, the low-quality of the food does not justify the high prices. I gave it a second chance, but it only got worse compared to my previous experience.

Stopped at the flea market on my travels and had lunch a the Empanada King. The prices were fair and the food was hot and fresh. I tried the chicken and a meat empanada with the green sauce which is awesome. I ate every bite and wished I bought more. The “king “ was friendly engaging and helpful with the menu. Highly recommend you try it if your at the Melbourne flea market .

George is always so fun and engaging when we go in there. He makes you feel as though he’s been waiting on you to arrive. He gives you the run down on the empanadas of the day and then takes your order. I’ve tried just about every flavor they offer and each is just as delicious as the last. The beef/pork and the meatball are my faves though.
