We were passing through Napa and needed to eat breakfast. Whipped out Maps and found Emmy Lou’s Diner. Had to go because we have a grandchild named Emmy Lou. We were not disappointed. They were fairly busy for a Saturday morning, but we were greeted and seated within minutes.

Ordered french dip. $18 & had barely 1/4” of meat. Meat seemed pressed, not so fresh. Au jus was super salty. Probably the worst french dip I’ve ever had. Others in town for less arenpiled hight with fresh roast beef.

Easy going low key locals diner in the south Napa. We arrived at 1130am on 4th of July. Immediately seated, served, and sated 35 minutes. Everywhere else was booked or closed. Secret gem. Shop local. Stay local.

Emmy Lou’s is a mom and pop sort of diner with traditional American breakfast and lunch servings. The food is inexpensive and definitely filled the morning breakfast need I had. The staff are all super friendly. I will be back. Thank you all.

We happened to be driving down the street going to a appointment that we had at 9am we ended up being a little bit early so we started to look for a place to eat and we happen to see the big red sign that said Diner on it that’s the place we chose we go in there and the hostess was wonderful that greeted us it was so nice the place even smelled clean I am going to give this a 20 star review if I could this place I can’t even get over how clean it was there wasn’t even dust on the ceiling fans that the signs weren’t even Dusty there is nothing on the floors this place was so clean you could even eat off the floors the food was good they had $5 mimosas in orange or Cranberry it was so nice I can’t even get over how clean again I got to say this place was it was immaculate we had an Orlando special which was some eggs and some toast it was so good that we ate it before I could finish taking the picture lol so if you happen to be in the area and they’re looking for a great little in-and-out place or just a diner or a hole in the wall this is the place to come to great food great service and I guarantee you will not leave disappointed

Order of 2 pancakes, 2 strips of bacon, hash browns and iced tea was $22+. What the eff? Didn’t say a word. Paid the tab with a smile and a generous tip. Just want you to know I won’t be back. Like trying to support local but that same breakfast at Black Bear or Denny’s is less than half the cost and just as good or better. Sorry, but your prices are ridiculous.

Food was okay, but I was overall underwhelmed. Tasted like cheap coffee and cheaper syrup. I really wanted to like this place as it doesn’t have a chain diner vibe. Menu was limited and nothing stood out as a signature dish. The food was not bad, but it wasn’t particularly memorable either. Service was amicable, so no complaints there. If I couldn’t get reservations elsewhere this makes a decent backup in that you’re less likely to have a screaming toddler next to you.
