This is a legit hamburger stop it’s been here since the 30s and there’s a reason that survive this long. There has to be at least 30 different kinds of hamburgers you can order all of which are extremely good.

Best burger I have found in 3 counties. Home made onion rings, too. Highly recommend the jalapeño bun. Excellent, friendly service. Order at the counter. Can’t wait to come back!

Stopped in with my family and it was fantastic! Husband had the CFS, I had a hamburger salad (lots of keto options) the kids had a burger and grilled cheese with onion rings. Everything was flavorful and perfect. Will definitely stop in more often. The home made dewberry cobbler looked amazing! Sadly we were too full to give it a try but next time we will save room for whatever scrumptious dessert they have for the day.

this place may not suit all folks with it’s full of memories and nostalgia atmosphere. yup, it is old and has some quirks, don’t we all. i am 6’5″ and have been here enough times to know to watch out for that one low beam. that’s just the way it is. i would say emil’s is comfortable and serves comfort food in ways you might not have considered. (lots to choose from). i have fallen into a rut. i look at the many choices but keep falling for my favorite and order the ruben. a ruben done the way a ruben should be done. anyway, the store is comfortable, the service easy going, and the folks the work there are warm and talkative. if you want to know something just ask. like a moth to a light, i will swope in for another ruben, maybe some other tasty order because i can. thanks to all at Emil’s. til next time.

This is a sweet little small town restaurant with big flavor, and personality. Everything on the menue has been great! My kids and wife love the shakes, I love the Burgers!

Talk about a hidden gem. We are from New Jersey and it’s our first time traveling through Texas. Delicious burgers…great service and hospitality. A must go to while passing through El Campo Texas. Highly recommend
