This one by far the worst meal I ever had in a restaurant! Chef should find another job. I ordered the Mahi mahi with rice and vegetables. What a mistake. Fish was not edible , nothing was added while cooking- no lemon, no spices .. nothing. Plain fish. Vegetables were the same. Only the rice was somewhat with flavor. Really bad meal. We eat out to experience outstanding food that we can’t cook ourselves. This place is just not one of them. Shameful.

This restaurant is always top-notch. The staff is accustomed to large crowds. Fast seating and turn over even when it appears filled to capacity. Great vantage point high off Greenwood Lake. After dining, sit outside and chill with Friends while watching all the action on the lake

Made a point of stopping here on the way back from the NJ side. It is one of our comfort places when we used to ride. The food is delish and ample portions. I took the champagne sauce from the mussels’ home it was sooo good. Recommend toasting the bread for dipping. The pretzel came looking like a smiley face, lol. Huge. The cheeze and mustard perfect accouterments. The Mahi Mahi with mango was surprisingly delish. I would recommend cooking it a bit less. Was a bit dry. The wrap my husband assures me was very tasty. Parking is an issue. There was a young one training he worked hard. We shall return.

Emerald Point is a wonderful restaurant to enjoy a great meal by the lake. All the food on the menu are prepared with fresh ingredients and made to order. Everything we had from the Oysters to the Clams to the New England Chowder to the Lobster Ravioli to the Crab Stuff Salmon to the Mahi Mahi and to the Brownie were plated nicely, perfect temperature, and delicious tasting. Plenty of staff to help out. The drinks were very good as well. Food brought out for other tables were looking pretty scrumptious. Definitely an Emerald find…

Last Sunday (8/6), two of my friend and I went for a ride, and decided to stop at the Emerald Point restaurant for lunch. We were thrilled to see so many bikers hanging out, and we wanted to join them. Considering all three of us work for the NYC Harley-Davidson dealership, we recognized some of the people. I have a small service dog, and the ladies at the entrance immediately asked about the duties my dog performs. I gladly replied, and they were happy with the answers. The outdoor part was packed, so we decided to sit at the bar and have some food and drinks. My dog was not on the leash because I keep her in my lap to be able to perform her duties. The bartender did not like that, and kept insisting I put my dog on the floor “where service dogs belong” even though she never asked me what duties my dog performs. I told the bartender that she should not insist on my dog being on the floor without knowing what she was trained to do, but the bartender continued. At that point, the bartender started raising her voice and telling me that she cannot allow dogs on the bar because their insurance does not cover that, and that she is not trying to be confrontational. Every person sitting at the bar was staring at me as the bartender continued explaining to me how emotional support animals are not the same as service animals. My friends were very angry, but I did not want them to say anything. I just took my dog and my stuff and left the restaurant.

It’s a great spot to hang out, and have lunch or dinner. The food is really quite good! My only qualm is the bathroom. I do my best to avoid it at all costs.

Love emeralds point, especially in the summer! Food is great, clams are always on point. Only complaint is how rude the black curly hair bartender at the front bar is. Every single time we come, whether just to my husband and I or when we come with friends visiting for the weekend they complain about it too. Seems like if you don’t know her, she is not nice. Super unfortunate and big turn off.

The kitchen needs to get it together. Food was bland, flavorless and heavy. Not to mention we did not get any food until 50 minutes after we ordered. We ordered crab cakes and wings for apps. The crab cakes is a single large “crab cake” that is fishy, cold and the remalude was not appealing either. The fish and chips was dense, dry and way over cooked. The fries were good. Tartar sauce had no flavor and a weird texture. Coconut chicken had so much sauce on it it was just gross. The Cesar salsa dressing is devoid of flavor completely and the tiny undercooked shrimp leave little to be desired. The wings are very good. I don’t know what happened because we have really enjoyed this restaurant before. I understand waiting because the kitchen is behind and the restaurant is busy especially on a holiday. It would be worth waiting for good food. This was not good food. The menu really needs an overhaul and some flavor. It doesn’t make sense to me how all these restaurants in green wood lake have prime locations and terrible food. Will give another try hopefully they revamp the menu.
