I’ve been coming here for the last 5 years, and this place sure has changed and NOT for the better! It used to be really good, and good portion size for your money, but the last few times I came here the portion size is a lot smaller, they make mistakes with my order and don’t offer to fix it and when I ask them too fix it, they are unfriendly about it, and don’t care to fix the issue. They only fill up the sides halfway in the to go orders! Which is a total rip-off because it’s like 4 bites of rice! Portion size sucks, especially on to go orders! Customer service sucks also! I will never come back to Elvira’s!

This was an excellent opportunity to savor authentic Mexican food… we first had a guacamole prepared fresh at the table for the four of us. it was delicious. I had the Flautas de Pollo and I often have this at other restaurants but here it was far exceeded my expectations. the flour tortillas we cooked but not dry and blended together in a smooth and tasty blend of flavors… SO GOOD… double YUM! WOW… service was excellent and I’m only sorry I don’t live nearby. I will definitely make a point to stop here again when back to California. Thanks!

I was a loyal customer for 4 years but this place has really gotten cheap with their portions and the customer service really sucks! I have had 3 bad experiences with the portion size and when I complained the staff doesn’t care at all, they instead argue with you and don’t fix anything. But their prices sure keep going up. DONT GO HERE! there’s other options. Example: I asked for no beans on my dish and they kept the beans off but only filled 1 portion of rice, how does that make sense? You’re suppose to put double rice when you ask for no beans DUH!

My family and I love, love, love Elvira’s in Upland. It is authentic Mexican food, fresh, full of flavors and aroma that remind me of my childhood and my mama’s kitchen. The food is not greasy and Elvira’s offers a good variety of dishes and the meat quality is great! My favorite is the carne asada and my daughter loves the steak frajita salad. Great guacamole that is prepared to your taste at your table. The service is wonderful too making each time we go there a most enjoyable experience.
