Another Daddy -Daughter Lunch with Jilly.This Little Tucked away Sub Shops Makes The Best Biggest Tastiest Sandwiches on Earth !! Established in 1959 2 years After I Was Born. This is My Go To Place for Sub Sandwiches I usually Get The Whole Italian(All Their Sandwiches are Fantastic) Salt-Pepper Oregano Olive Oil & Vinegar and I’m in Heaven !!! I say there is No Way I Can Finish the Whole Thing…But I Always Do Support your Local Mom & Pop Restaurants Cause if you Don’t your Favorites Could Disappear !!! Cash Only ATM inside Large Paid Parking in Rear or Park on Monmouth Street All Paid Parking. Also Has a Large Variety of Chips and Snacks … The Owner is Very Knowledgeable about Food Costs But She’s been keeping Her Prices Affordable and Not Raising Her Prices SUPPORT THE ESTABLISHMENT it’s an Historical Site in Downtown Red Bank

How on earth have I not reviewed Elsie’s subs before?! Even though I live in Florida now, Elsie’s is a must visit for me any time I’m in NJ. Their Turkey cranberry is just absolutely perfect. Bread is perfect, ratio of meat to toppings is perfect – even the hole in the wall look of the restaurant is perfect! They also have a great selection of chips and drinks to go with their wide menu of subs. It is a cash only place and you generally will have to park in the large paid city parking lot behind the store. But seriously – if you are anywhere near Red Bank, go out of your way to stop in at Elsie’s.

Delicious subs from a friendly staff. We stopped in on our way from Philly to Boston for a pickle sub (Italian) and a turkey with cranberry. Both were amazing, so we got a chicken parmesan sub to go… Which was also amazing as a snack on the road. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll be back!

I love Elsie’s!! The subs are the best (especially the Turkey with Cranberry)!! If we are in Red Bank and need lunch, my daughter and I head straight to Elsie’s. Going in the boat or to the park…subs from Elsies!! Pending the impending plastic ban, they may have to go away but Elsie’s uses the little plastic baggies so that when you eat your sub, your hands don’t get dirty; amazing!! And the staff is always great. No matter who makes our subs, we have never had an issue!! I don’t believe they take credit cards but they do have an ATM.

Get the turkey cranberry! Okay pretty much all subs are great here so try whatever you like. The rolls are as you expect – soft with the right amount of chewy. Toppings are fresh. I love the homemade sodas by Elsie’s. Enjoy. And, trust me, get the turkey cranberry sometime!!
