The Bistek Tagalog was extraordinary. It came with a bowl of gravy. I couldn’t decide whether the steak tasted better by itself or dipped in the gravy. So I alternated. Really good either way. And then add in the onion. Wow. I don’t remember what the soup was called but it was quite tasty.

Drive by this little restaurant all the time and finally stopped in. I love Filipino food and ate it all the time in Hawaii and Seattle.

Wow… beyond disappointed. I’m looking at the good reviews thinking you people must not have taste buds. I asked for Chicken panict… not a single piece of chicken in it, hardly any veggies and bland. The lumpia…. bland. The pork skewers tender but bland.

We got the bistek w/garlic fried rice, inihaw na liempo, lechon kawali, and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. Everything was delicious! Very authentic taste and so much flavor. Highly recommend the lechon and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls

It’s really good service and solid food every time we go here. Usual order for us is 2 orders of the pancit with 3 pork egg rolls and spicy sauce. The bbq pork skewers are also really tasty. We got some ube pandesal to eat later. I tried it before, and they are delicious! Excellent dining experiences are had here.

Austin has such a scarce variety of Filipino food. So when I decided to try out Elsie’s in Hutto, I was not disappointed. Friendly staff first of all. Service was quick. I got the chicken adobo. It was served with a delicious potato and pork soup as well as an egg roll on the side. You’re able to choose pork, chicken, or vegetable. Of course I got pork and it was great! Tasted almost like my mom’s. Almost. The chicken adobo was good. For me there was a little bit too much “sabaw” or shall I say soup. I personally like mine a bit thicker and less of but everyone makes adobo differently and it still did not take away from the fact that it was delicious! I love that an egg was served alongside it too! Lastly, I got gulaman to drink. Whenever I see gulaman on a menu, I have to get it because it reminds me so much of my childhood. I got it Elsie’s style as well which included cream and it absolutely tasty! Overall, the best Filipino restaurant around the Austin area and that’s why I give it a five. I can’t wait to try other things on the menu next time!

Love Elsie’s! Family owned and operated. They started out as a food truck and expanded to brick-and-mortar. They still have their food truck for local events and they are always my go-to. The family is super sweet and will get to know you by name. The food is a amazing!

We love Elsie’s Egg Rolls! I’m half Filipina and it’s very hard to find Filipino restaurants at all, and even more so, authentic ones. Just moved into the area and decided to try this one via delivery and the food is delicious. We would split 6 lumpias and a Filipino spaghetti. I think the lumpia tastes like home and the pork was tender just like my mom would make it. I compare them to what I’d get from “lumpia world” back in Seattle but more oily, which tastes more like home cooking to me. They also have yummy ube pandesal and other baked goods!

First time trying Filipino food. To my disappointment, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. My pancit was bland, lacking in seasoning. My husband’s chicken curry was also lacking in seasoning. The egg rolls were great though.

A great addition to Hutto. I am glad the food truck did well enough for a brick and mortar. Besides the egg rolls, everything else on the menu is excellent and not too complicated. You get alot of food for the price as well.
