The Life of Lex
I’ve been craving elote and found this place on google while in the area. I rushed over with only 5 minutes to space before they closed. I ended up arriving after closing time but they still took all the customers that were still pouring in! The customer service was amazing. The women were so kind and helpful with making a choice on what to get. I tried a rice bowl with steak and a bunch of toppings which was soooooo good! I just wish it had a little bit more rice since I got so many toppings! I got a Mexican elote but I took someone’s advice to get the extra garlic butter and queso fresco, which I didn’t enjoy. It tasted really good still but was way too much for my liking. Also, even though they were closing, all of my food was cooked to order, fresh and hot! I also tried their fresh squeezed lemonade, which was very refreshing! I wish I had gotten a jumbo size! I can’t wait to go back and try some more of their options!! Everything looked sooo good.

My sisters recommended this restaurant. They’re tough critics, so I decided to take them up on their suggestion and rode down to Homestead for lunch. I ordered the 3 Beef Birria Tacos and the Bacon Lover Corn in a Cup. Once I got home and settled, I opened the brown paper bag; the release of the aroma verified that this was going to be a delicious meal. And it was. I’m not one to stand around taking pictures of food, and I’m suspicious and picky. Quality, taste, cost, and presentation are characteristics often at odds when it comes to eating out. Carefully packaged, budget friendly, aromatic and savory, and high quality ingredients have turned Elote Lovers into a favorite. It was such a triumph for the tastebuds that I sent a pic of the finish line to my sisters!

A couple of days ago heading home from Key West, we stopped by Elote Lovers to try their menu. We ordered their Mexican Street Corn and it was pretty good! We took it to-go so we didn’t get to really experience the resturant ambiance or service. But we plan on stopping by again because several other items caught our eyes!

The workers were really nice, but the food here is so bad, I threw it all away including the lemonade. Cute place but not worth even tasting the food. Disgusting, super salty, the garlic sauce is terrible, and the guacamole is not homemade. It’s probably the worst guacamole I’ve ever seen. I feel bad, but at the same time they need to stop posting nice pictures just to attract people and try fixing every single on their menu.

I AM ADDICTED!!! I love love love their food. Full of flavor! Crunchwrap is a enough to feed two adults. TACOS packed with love and passion. Corn in a cup…EXACTLY HOW I LIKE EM . I had so much food I had leftovers for dinner. I will be going there at least 4x a month (I’ve been 3x in a week ). Staff is friendly and patient . I love them

I wanted nachos! all I asked that they were not soggy. I told them everything thing I wanted on them and on the side. There was way to much melted cheese, I did not ask for. It wasn’t even warm. It was unable to eat just a soggy mess. No crispy chips at all.I know there was a language issue. Just disappointed the hot ingredient should go on the bottom and chips on top.

this was the worst Elote/mexican food I have ever had.. I ordered a basic elote n it was all parmasgan cheese.. no flavor at all no seasons only parmasgan n mayo that’s it. SO BAD I THREW IT AWAY. a basic chicken quesadilla was extremely salty with no flavor at all.. they used that cheap yellow cheese that changed colors after, the Pico de Gallo was poorly made with huge chunks that couldn’t even fit into the little containers.. the staff was nice but food not worth it at all..

#1 This is not authentic Mexican food. Even then, the birria was just bland and my tacos were cold and chewy. They put hot cheetos on my loaded fries that were super stale and the checkered paper under the nachos is actual paper instead of parchment so I had to peel soggy bits off the bottom layer of fries. If management is reading this, consider some aluminum or wax paper.
