What a sweet find! Everything from decor, delicious food and options, wine list, ambience, and views. This is a must to check out! The owner and chef made a special point to chat and serve our dinner. A homey, comfortable, and yummie dinner out! We highly recommend it. We had the halibut cooked to perfection and the roasted chicken, moist and flavorful. A delightful night out in every way possible way!

This is our favorite, “go-to” place to dine! The atmosphere is calm and inviting and the decor sets a romantic mood! The servers are all very accommodating and helpful in explaining the wonderful menu offerings from Joy’s skillful kitchen! Our dear friends always join us and we get our favorite table right next to the kitchen! Every menu item is now our favorite! The steak, the Halibut, the chicken, the duck, the crab cakes…are all done to perfection! We love the interaction with Joy when she comes out to check on everything. This is such a personal touch that you don’t see everyday and reflects that she truly wants her guests to have a memorable experience. We always do and will look forward to many, many more! Thanks Joy and thanks Ellie for passing on your culinary talents to your wonderful daughter!

We had a fantastic dinner at Ellie’s last night, starting with a delicious Strawberry Fields salad. We both had Halibut as a main and as other reviewers have reported, it was excellent. They serve a very generous portion of fish that is seared? crispy on one side to just the right degree, completely cooked but still moist. We finished with the awesome traditional bread pudding. Twyla was a delightful server and even found a candle when I slipped and mentioned it was my partner’s birthday. Ellie’s is highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!

We are locals here in Santa Ynez and absolutely love Ellie’s Tap and Vine. The food is amazing and the staff are wonderful. The owner & chef, Joy, is amazing it is obvious that she puts her heart into every dish she puts out and cares enough about her customers to check on each table herself to make sure they are enjoying their time. Ellie’s also has a great selection of wines available for purchase by the glass or bottle. The rotating menu is one of our favorite parts of the restaurant because theres always something new to try. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal!

Ellie’s has always made us feel like family, from our first visit. The food is phenomenal, the best I’ve ever had! The chefs, Jay and Joy, are an absolute delight and so incredibly talented. The waitstaff, especially Halli, always made our experiences here more than fantastic. I couldn’t recommend this place more, my husband and I are so sad to be leaving California specifically to be far from this place. If you’ve never been, definitely go.

We went here as a pre wedding dinner with both families. The staff was very accommodating, and attentive to our group. The atmosphere was comfortable and homey. The wines we chose were delicious and the food we ordered, not one complaint. We felt as though the whole experience was worth what we paid. Joy was very kind in coming out to check on us and visit for a moment. A personal touch that was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this experience.

The food at this establishment is AMAZING! My husband and I dined there with another couple last night. Michelle was our server. We enjoyed the warm walnut, apple salad, a house salad, the tomahawk short ribs, the sea bass, bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and a blueberry apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Absolutely everything was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and prepared perfectly. Highly recommend the food and the service was top notch , too!

I loved my experience here. The servers were wonderful, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was great. The halibut I had here was the best done halibut I’ve ever tasted and the bread pudding is to die for. I have no doubt that the excellence of these dishes extends to the rest of the menu.
