This place is AMAZING!! We have lived in the area for a while and just happened upon this restaurant while searching google and WOW. We sat at the bar and got a couple beers and then food. James was the bartender and his service was excellent. He was attentive and engaging and very fast. The food was the best we have had in this area. I highly recommend the bacon wrapped meatloaf! I was told they have only been open 6 months and I feel everyone should know about this place!! We will be regulars from now on! 🙂

A friend and I wanted to try a new down home cooking place in a small town. We decided to try Eli’s Tavern in Franklinton NC as it was close and picks looked good. Food was better than expected and the staff very friendly and studious to assist with the menu and wine selections. Great Italian place in a small town setting. Would recommend to anyone that likes Italian foods.

Exceptional! Excellent food and great service. We tried this on their third night open. We very much enjoyed every dish. Several small plates which were all amazing – crispy brussels, calamari, and citrus arugula salad. Large plates – chicken fried chicken and prime rib. Only complaints were the presentation of the salad could have used a few more orange pieces or another ingredient. The prime rib was a little over for my taste and lacked a crusty edge BUT was tender and flavorful. Our server was very friendly and attentive – we wanted and waited for nothing. Beignets for dessert were also delicious. Felt everything was a great value for the price. We will be back real soon!!

Blown away! We tried this place tonight for the first time. Jayme, the bartender, made some of the best drinks that we’ve had in a long time. No shortage of excellent options in food or drinks. The burger was awesome. My fiancé said her shrimp and grits were great. Atmosphere is classy and laid back. This is my new favorite spot in Franklinton.

Exciting new restaurant in Franklinton. So much potential and excited they will be offering brunch. Atmosphere and staff were great. Their menu was paired down and had great options. I love when restaurants can stand behind tailored menus that are made from scratch. Amazing place to bring friends from out of town to, for a girls night, and date night. We will be back for sure to try and cocktails.

We had dinner at Eli’s for the second time tonight (the first time was back when they first opened, and it was great (looking at you, sticky ribs!). However we hadn’t been back because we really were looking for something with a bit more of a traditional “tavern” cuisine), but I must say, tonight, with the new menu and numerous burger and sandwich options, it was absolutely fantastic! I had the fried chicken sandwich (with pimento cheese and fried green tomato), my husband had the backyard burger (with bacon jam, house made pickles and tavern sauce), and my 7 year old daughter had the chicken tenders (love that they have a separate kids menu/coloring sheet!). Everything was absolutely incredible – elevated and scratch made (even down to my daughter’s tenders – perfectly fried and seasoned and the chicken was cooked to perfection)… we absolutely will be back again soon to try out some of the other new items on the menu and are so excited with some of the changes they’ve made! Keep up the good work Eli’s!!

Great atmosphere. Feels polished and still comfortable. The food was DELICIOUS! Had brussels, short ribs and pasta! Recommend overwhelmingly! Try the Kinship 75 cocktail. It was beautiful to look at and so refreshing, perfect balance of flavors.

My compliments to the chef! I was highly skeptical of the new small plate concept at first but no longer after trying a few dishes this evening. If you’re skeptical also, I recommend the bacon wrapped dates, crispy fingerlings followed by the dark chocolate budino for dessert!

First of all, this place is absolutely wonderful. Eli’s tavern is such a gem for a new, up and coming town. Read all the review you want and knit pick every exhausting detail. But all said and done BRAVO! From the moment you walk in you are welcome; the staff is amazing stand alone! You can have fine dining, home comfort, charm and class all in one. This place is the chef’s kiss whether it be in Central New York or downtown Franklinton, NC. How enchanting and calming that you don’t have to drive to Raleigh!, Stress over commute, parking and hopefully some descent service. I have frequent this place since it opened, and they actually listen to its patrons and reviews. Every time is just better and better. Yes it may be Raleigh pricing, but is it really? You pay for the experience, and if I could sum it up you get “ Quality, experience, pride, amazing service and cozy” pay the extra $1 and support your local town. I am so grateful for the hard work and love of food industry these owners have given this small town.
