Great place for brunch or breakfast. They are really busy, so get there early or wait till around 1:00 when the crowd dies down. They have in door and outdoor seating and plenty of room in the restaurant, including a bar that you can sit and drink at. The bathrooms are really nice and clean. You can get your drinks while you wait for a table if you like. The staff is very friendly and polite. I had the shrimp and grits, which came with 2 eggs of your choice. It was seasoned very well and tasted great. My brother had the fried chicken wings, which he said was seasoned really well. We both said we would return because of the good food and great atmosphere.

Great company with my cousin. Restaurant doesn’t even get an honorable mention. How in the HELL you give us the check when I didn’t get my pancakes that came with the meal. And this after being told they were coming after the meal was delivered. Food was under seasoned and waffle was over cooked. And dry food items, especially the sausage links and eggs with no cheese after it was sent back. The syrup was good though

Was in town and just googled breakfast near me and this popped up, they didn’t disappoint. I would definitely pass on the sausage patties but everything else was on point! Fried chicken was definitely fire! We went on a Sunday morning and gospel music was playing. The owner greeted himself. Would definitely go back.

On a Friday morning (10 a.m.), parking was difficult to obtain, and there was a 10-minute wait to sit down. Once seated, we had our food in 20 minutes. I ordered 5 chicken and waffles. While the chicken was well-seasoned, the waffle was a little mushy, but the cuisine generally went nicely with the eggs and fruit medley. The grits, on the other hand, could have used more seasoning; they were bland, but the food and service were both outstanding. The environment was extremely warm and nicely put together. It’s great to see people of color breaking bread and supporting one another, especially in the Midwest.

My family was looking for a nice Sunday brunch and arrived at 12:30pm and didn’t get seated for an hour and received our food an hour after that. I’m from Memphis and have eaten A Lot of different shrimp & grits dishes and this one “wasn’t it”. It was a standard grit dish with minimal roux. The shrimp were seasoned nicely. But you *need* a good roux to pull it together. Butter & cheese are not roux.

First time customer..the server was friendly and the inside was beautiful. The owner greeted everyone which was great. I loved the atmosphere however the food was just okay. I got the meat omelet which was good but the pancakes were a “no” for me. I would visit again but try something different

Security on the lot greeting us.. The atmosphere was such a great vibe. Walked in said it was a 45min wait but was seated in 20mins.. Customer service was EVERYTHING!! The place was packed so I expected a wait of some sort. Food came out about 20 mins after we ordered. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back. Not everyone will have the same experience so I say go and see for yourself because we enjoyed it unlike what some may have said.
