We walked into an empty restaurant, me and 2 buddies and it took them well over 20 minutes to bring out our drinks. Took approximately 45 minutes for food to come out and again, it was DEAD. Just completely unacceptable. The server was nice, but asked us multiple times about our orders even after we clarified everything in the beginning. There’s a reason why this place is dead and every other restaurant nearby is poppin. Will not be returning here.

Service was excellent, and I had some of the best chicken fajitas I’ve yet to find in Detroit! Lots of food, chips and salsa were fresh, and the guacamole and sour cream were included with my meal. A great lunch spot!

Today I visited the bakery and also took a picture of one of my favorite restaurants in mexicantown ( el Zocalo ) across the street and when I came home to post a review for it I come to find out they are temporary closed I truly hope they open back up soon so everyone can enjoy the amazing authentic cuisine I experienced last time going there!! ❤️

A very vibrant, friendly ambience with eye-candy Central American decor accentuating the experience, while one delightfully devours the authentic Mexican cuisine. A well-stocked bar will provide one with a wide selection of alcoholic refreshments to wash it all down while attaining a”laid back”demeanor. Great food. Greater time!!

We walked in and there were 5 people in our party including 3 children. The restaurant was kind of empty but we were okay with that because we were starving. My husband ordered enchiladas and they were great!! I had the quesadillas and they arrived fresh and hot. My kids really enjoyed the rice and beans. My husband agreed they had a lot of flavor. Over all the service was great! And the food arrived in a very timely fashion. Will definitely be back again!

I’m sure the food I got wasn’t fresh. This was my go to place for their lunch special until I got food poisoning from the chicken burrito on my birthday. Plus, my colleague was sick as well. When we got back to the office, we took turns running to the bathroom to poop and vomit. 36 hours later, I’m still sickly.

Loved the design of the restaurant. The waitress and bartenders were very nice. The drinks were very good. The food was exceptional but I guess I expected it to be a little bit more authentic. But overall it was a nice experience for my first time in Mexican Town..

Horrible experience. Place was empty, we decided to go in for some drinks while we wait for xochomilco to call our name, ended up staying to eat because we were seated right away. Took the waitress a long time to bring out beers that were warm, then took our order, we clarified several times what we wanted and how we wanted it, took nearly 45 minutes to get our food. Everyone’s order was cold, tacos weren’t deep fried hard shell as advertised, enchiladas tasted like some canned chicken with cheap sauce, steak fajitas had no flavor, had to ask 3 times for another beer, and asked for salt and pepper at the beginning of our appetizers, but she didn’t bring it out until we were done eating.
