Enjoyed the combination plate with cheese enchilada, chicken taco, and Chile relleno which were excellent. Unfortunately the same can not be safe of the rice and beans.

Go here for the food (as it’s great) , not for the Ambiance. It’s like really eating in Mexico, probably because Mexico is about a mile away,,,, but you are in the USA, so all the authenticity but without the border crossing. Service was fast and friendly. Best of all, you get a lot of food (great food) for about $10.

They didn’t know what a gordita was, the 3 different beef plates were badly cooked; we found out it was a new owner not the parents but the son.

Food was terrible. Had machacca and eggs and asked for toast instead of tortilla. It was cold and tasted like it was grilled with oil not butter. Asked for milk, didn’t have it, asked for O.J. didn’t have any, ended getting jamica, worst I’ve ever had. Service sucked, didn’t come back to check on anything, dropped off the food and receipt and never saw her again.

Being close to Mexico, I was craving some authentic Mexican food, and this place definitely sufficed. I ordered the chicken gorditas, which came with a lot of pleasant surprises. For one, I was given a potato and cheese soup before my meal came out, which was very delicious and hearty. My food came out very quickly, before I was even able to finish the soup! My meal was well portioned with beans rice, as well as lettuce and other goodies with the gorditas. Overall, it was a very good, authentic meal at a reasonable price (including tip, I barely spent $10)

Packed, double parked, LOL, I had to wait to have the owner of the car behind me let me out! Locals love it, that’s obvious. I got the huevos Mexicana, so so. Also got a cup of Menudo to go, that was some of the better I’ve had, I can recommend that. I think it’s worth another visit just based on the clientele. Lunch or dinner I think. Prices are reasonable.

We were greeted by an annoyed maskless waitress who slammed dirty menus on our table. Started the meal with our drink order of stale lemonade and dirty tap water. The huevos rancheros were basically boiled egg on a tortilla (no salsa or seasoning). The meat on the ranchero steak was bland but nothing compared to the meat on the carne asada which tasted like decaying game animal. The bathrooms were disgusting which could be an indication of how their kitchen must look like since bathrooms are easier to clean. The tortillas came on a napkin that was half the size of the tortillas and they made contact with the dirty unsanitized table. The tortillas arrived about 10 minutes after the meal was served not that it mattered since the whole meal was inedible and gross.

Their tacos dorados are just hard shell tacos. Dorado taco should be crispy yet chewy tacos.
