I like El Zarape, I really do. But there were some baby things I didn’t like. Like when I looked at the menu and ordered a la carta, the crispy chile relleno. On the menu, the price is $3.50 but it rang up as $4.50 plus tax on the register (I also ordered beans and rice). So if it’s actually $4.50, please make the menu’s reflect the same price. Also I was expecting my chile rellenos to be crispy but when I got home and opened the box, I saw that my rellenos were smothered in sauce so they were soggy instead of crispy. I didn’t ask for smothered rellenos or even knew that they came smothered so I was kind of sad. They could’ve put the sauce on the side to give you the option to smother or not. I mean it was still good but not what I asked for. I’ll give them another try and specify my order next time

My daughter and I went for late lunch. I ordered the number 4 combination. Which included a chicharron burrito, taco, and enchilada. I received a bean burrito wirh chicharron so hard I could not eat them. There were old and completely dry. The burrito had little beans, whole beans with little beans and chile, the Spanish rice was dry and old I did not receive my taco and enchilada. I had to go to register to ask what happened. The waitress argued with me. Stating I only ordered burrito. The younger girl said she would fix it. I received a taco with old meat and no flavor, the enchilada sauce was hot and no flavor I had to wait Somebody in kitchen pounding on something noise was so loud. My daughters posole had lard chunks of fat. Terrible, flies everywhere waitress smashing them on table windows, chairs while people were eating.

First timers. My wife and were looking for some food along Feds. Sunday before a Broncos game and decided to check it out. Blown away. Great food. Great service. Authentic food and giant portions. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. We will definitely be back.

The carnitas lived up to the “best” claim stated on the menu. Service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Burro Loco with carnitas, and ate every bite. My wife ordered alambre al pastor and my mother in law ordered the Chile relleno crispy. Everything was so delicious. Will be coming back and recommending this spot to my friends! Definitely don’t sleep on El Zarape.

Pretty good food usually satisfied with the carnitas burrito, has a good selection of Mexican food. Today the food was salty but it’s wasn’t enough to make me not want to go here anymore. The green salsa in the picture is pretty hot that’s exactly how I like it.

Incredibly disappointing. I don’t know what’s happened in the last 2 months, but prices have rised and quality severely fallen. Ive been coming here for YEARS and was never unhappy enough to not come back even though sometimes it wasn’t the best.. I just spent $60 with a very generous tip and received absolute garbage. The ENTIRE burrito (all 4 of them) are completely and totally all shell. Take a look at the pics for yourself- and its been this way the last 3 times we’ve come here. I called and spoke to Veronica and all she was willing to do was have me drive all the way back there and she’ll make me new ones…at 745p. Nothing else. Seriously just lost two of your best customers. If I were you I’d hit up literally any of the other Mexican food joints up and down federal and avoid this place.
