One of my new favorites! The aesthetic is definitely IG worthy. The drinks were tasty and original. The service was delightful, I highly recommend stopping by! Donovan was amazing and attentive! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Went on a Sunday afternoon for late lunch. The hostess wasn’t friendly, we were told to sit any where. After waiting for about 15-20 mins with no menus, I was able to flag someone down. The restaurant wasn’t busy, there were several empty seats. When our waitress finally came, we placed our order. We got the chips and guacamole, elote, 3 chicken tacos, 1 bistek and 1 taco al pastor. The guacamole was pretty good. The elote wasn’t bad but wasn’t special. The chicken tacos lacked flavor, the bistek and pastor were okay. We got two sodas, when we asked for refills we were told we’d be charged extra. We found that to be strange considering they were small cups to begin with. Overall, the bill came out to approximately $100 for two people, the food and service weren’t on par with the price. We probably won’t be going back.

Came in for the first time yesterday and will be back for more. When we first pulled up, I assumed it was going to be another cheesy generic Ninfas-esque bar/restaurant. But the vibes/decor and quality of the food proved me completely wrong. The owners clearly did their homework and set up a modern Mexican style for the bar’s interior and matched it with a well stocked bar. We got a cucumber fresca and a mango fresca to start based on recommendations from the bartender (who was super attentive, btw), and they were great! We got the chips and salsa, which come with 3 different kinds of salsa. The chipotle one was my favorite, but they all tasted like they were homemade. We also got an elote…please get this, you won’t regret it. As for actual meals, we got chicken tinga sopes and birria quesadillas. The sopes did not fall apart and were loaded, as you can see in the picture below. And while I’m not the biggest birria fan, I can say that they actually seasoned their meat and didn’t just serve out fatty meat like most other places. Gotta come back for Taco Tuesday and try out the rest of the menu.

Great little hidden spot off Washington. Had a Cabo feel with a cool outdoor patio, friendly and fast service. Prices are decent on drinks and food with ample parking.

El Venado was a full experience. If I could give this spot a 5/5 I would but I need sides along my food. My boyfriend & I loved the elote and the drinks , if we could only get one thing it’s the elote . The server was amazing and there was no doubt the place was worth the price but I’m so used to Mexican spots so I was disappointed my food did not come with rice and beans!!

Excellent tacos. Birra are a must try, as well has the fish tacos. Loved the environment and love music. Staff were very busy and service was a little slow, but always courteous and kind and prompt when needed! They’re also dog friendly!

I ordered the Coctel de Mango and you could really taste the fresh mango! We will keep coming here for sure!
