El Vaquero is located in the community of Greatwood. This place has great atmosphere and is the favorite Mexican restaurant of many neighbors in Greatwood. Their staff is super friendly. We ordered the El Rey fajitas and they were full flavor. The portions are generous. My husband and I shared this plate. As a realtor in this area, I like to try local restaurants to support our local families. This is one of them. You should give it a try if you are in the neighborhood.

We love this place but after going to the Stafford location we found that the full plate of nachos was alot bigger and cost around $2.00 less. Very impressed on the portions they gave.

First time here. Plenty of seating. Is Monday though. Wife ordered the cowboy combo. She was able to get some of all her favorites. Ordered the pablano fajitas. Sooo yummy. 8 year old daughter ordered the hamburger kids meal (of course kids come to Mexican restaurant and get a burger) didn’t try burger but fries were Hella good. Service was great.

I was reading good reviews about the cowboy combo so I tried it. Best fajita chicken ever. The place is clean, staff is very friendly and the wet kiss drink is amazing.

Alma and her team are phenomenal. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the staff was great. This is also one of the few Mexican restaurants I know of that has wonderful healthy food options in addition to all of the classic Mexican dishes. I will definitely be coming here next time I am in Sugar Land.

We LOVE coming here. Alma and Pedro are the sweetest and always take care of us! Honestly, the entire staff is friendly and the food is great and priced fairly. Margaritas are awesome too! This place is a perfect example of a family-friendly restaurant and treats my kids so well! I couldn’t say anything bad about El Vaquero and know we will be coming here for years to come.

First time here. Went today and had Happy Hour. We asked for another round at 5:58 (Happy Hour goes to 6) and the bartender Daniel said he can’t ring in another one. We showed him our phone that said 5:59 at this point and he said he can’t do it because the computer won’t let him. This is not a good practice to have. Fix your computers.

Crispy tacos served completely soggy both on a crispy taco plate and an enchilada dinner, just completely bathing in liquid, no thank you. It’s the first time in my over 60 years to ever eat a taco in Texas with a knife and fork. Very sad. Simply put, there’s no love in the food here. Any kitchen cook can put this stuff out. The wait staff was accommodating and professional but I still have no plans to return.

ZERO Flavor/ Worst Beef fajita I’ve ever had, they were tender, just no flavor at all. Everything ordered was super bland. The tortillas were, dry and breaking like a cracker. Mine and Wife’s Cowboy plate. same result. Maybe it was a off day for the kitchen. Mango margarita was NOT good/ NOT as expected, was a regular flavor frozen marg with mango added. Rice dry no flavor, refried beans, no flavor. All around disappointed in the experience as a first time visit. Fam of 4 (2 kids) meal $80+ dollars. Good service from the staff.
