We had gone to visit the Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile (July 7) only to find out that it, along with most things in Pawhuska are closed on Sundays. It’s a small town and doesn’t have many dining options. We had seen this Mexican restaurant and decided to give it a try. My husband and I love mexican food and know what’s good. This place only had like 1 car in the parking lot which made us wonder about it, but we went in anyway (it did get more crowded after we got there). I had a combination dinner and he had the 3 tamales dinner. Admittedly, the tamales weren’t great, but they were okay, they are really a bit small. It also included beans and rice. My combination dinner was very good, I had also ordered a small side of guacamole for $1.99 and was quite surprised at how much I got for that price, the same thing went for the small white cheese dip. The frozen margarita was just okay, we’ve definitely had better, but for the VERY reasonable prices at this restaurant there really isn’t much to complain about. I am posting pictures of the menu, because it was quite extensive. We both said we would eat there again if we we’re ever in the area visiting another time.

There is no soap in the girls bathroom which means female employees must not be able to wash their hands today. The soap machine is entirely broken. Service is slow staff is rude and the burritos were burnt

Wasn’t real satisfied with my visit to this eating establishment. 1) food was sizzling like it should have been, I ordered Beef Fajitas 2) waitress checked on us once 3) took almost an hour to receive our tickets so we could pay out and go home. I still left because I still left a tip, I used to be a waitress and know they live on tips. I really don’t know that I will go back.

We stood at the front waiting to be seated for 10-15 min. Didn’t seem like the staff really knew what they were doing. Honestly the worst service I’ve ever had. I had to let a server know that a dad and child had been standing at the door for about 10 min. There was no one to great us. Waited almost an hour on our food. Our server had to ask me what I ordered twice. Then it still came out wrong. No one checked on any of the tables regularly. Very disappointed. Will not be back.

I ordered the shrimp taco salad. SO greasy and tasted nasty. The taco shell was stale.. And the waitress even had the nerve to throw attitude and looks at me and my family when we asked for more napkins. Like really?? Its napkins. Get over it and get us some. They weren’t packed.

This is a great place, quick service, great five dollar specials. Foods good, 2 adults, one child and we ate dinner for under 20 dollars. If your in pawhuska you’ve got to check it out. They have Mexican and American food. Great tacos, but the hamburgers, miss kitty’s chicken, and French fries are great!
