This is a small family restaurant filled with love and feels homey. Also this restaurant is children friendly my son had so much fun with the nice lady’s daughters witch was our waiter and she was friendly and had an awesome personality and was patient with us being new to Mexican food and She was not afraid to answer any of our questions we had. The food was wonderful and flavorful. And they had a lot of vegan and gluten free option’s I was surprised to see my son eat all of his food because he is a very picky eater. I 100% recommend this restaurant and I will be returning.

Me and my family had an amazing experience here, from the service to the food!! I can’t decide which was better, first started with the guacamole and chips as appetizers and my main course plate was the homemade quesadillas. The steak juicy and tasty with the perfect amount of seasoning following the authentic rice and beans. Of course to complete my meal I had dessert and the churro with vanilla ice cream was amazing! We will be back and thank you to the staff. Keep up the good work, I hope to see you guys soon again!

El Toro is outstanding. Excellent salsa (which as we all know makes or breaks an authentic Mexican restaurant). Melt in your mouth carnitas to die for. Red and green sauce are both superb. As a transplant from New Mexico, it can be very difficult to find legitimately good Mexican food in the northeast and this place has it. We were thrilled to discover that it’s run by the kindest local family who very genuinely care about their guests. 10/10 highly recommend.

Loved discovering this small family owned restaurant after we visited Art Omi in Ghent. The food was delicious and we really appreciated the vegetarian options and flexibility. My veggie enchiladas were chock full of yummy vegetables! My wife’s chicken mole was a special treat that we can’t find at many places. In addition, she was able to get a salad in place of the rice and beans. Service was warm and friendly.

You need to eat here!! We stopped for lunch while on vacation and they did not disappoint!!!! We had two toddlers, an older child, and four adults – everyone LOVED everything we got! The waitress was so sweet, the cook came out and she was so sweet too!

I was so excited to see El Toro open up in my home town, it truly is a gem! The tacos al pastor are excellent. I love the touch of adding freshly grilled onion, nopal, and jalapeño. I eat here every time I’m in Kinderhook.

The best real authentic Mexican good. Everything is delicious that I don’t even care if they don’t sell liquor drinks yet. Highly recommend the plantain sandwich.
