New name now, Michoacán. The best and only Authentic Mexican Restaurant in south west Georgia. No other like this one. Love their mini tacos, seafood and super friendly staff. Have been in The Mountrie area and haven’t found one that compares to Michoacán Mexican restaurant.

Excellent Menudo, Steamed Goat Taco, and Horchata! Waitresses are friendly. Definitely recommend eating here if you want actual Mexican food in South Georgia.

The food is authentic, fresh, and some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten, no joke! The name is no longer El Tarasco but rather Michoacan. The menu has expanded and they have lots of great dishes, even a few goat dishes, my favorite. The guacamole is fresh and homemade. The service is friendly. I have been many times, and have no complaints whatsoever.

Used to like this place but they now have new ownership or something. All I know is that they seem strangely ‘hostile’ towards non-Hispanic customers. Twice now, I have been leaving the restaurant and have witnessed the staff turn away white and patrons a few minutes before closing but then wave in Hispanic customers and seat them. Doesn’t matter how the food tastes or the service. I cannot tolerate this kind of discrimination from ANY business. Will NOT be going back.

This is the best Hispanic food on the face of the planet. I’m from Cairo but don’t live there anymore, but I would swim from Korea just to taste this food. It is the best. Please don’t pass it up if you have the opportunity to experience the food and the culture.

Absolutely the best in SW Georgia. No fantasy southwestern style stuff here just real authentic mexican food in a friendly setting. Loved by gringos, mexicans and guatemalans alike. Now called Michoacan, same ownership and menu.

Want some Authentic Mexican Food? Then bring your whole family, your friends, and your neighbors to El Tarasco. Even though it’s served here, why not forget tacos, and order some enchiladas instead, or flautas, or quesadillas, or… You know, how about you come and see the menu yourself and see all the different delicious food that’s served here.

Best Mexican in the surrounding counties!!! Love the steak tacos with cilantro and onion on corn tortillas and the steak tacos with only queso on flour tortillas. Yum…..

My favorite dishes there are Barbacoa De Res, Chicken Nachos and a Chicken Mini Torta in the Kids Menu. A great place to eat at I totally recommend to eat there when you want some Mexican food!
