I’ve lived in Denison five years, and this is the first time I’ve eaten here. I ordered the veggie quesadillas, strawberry cheese cake, and a drink. The food was good. I’ve never eaten a quesadilla with broccoli inside! Chips and salsa came with my order.

This was my second time visiting El Tapatio Cafe. I was so impressed by the first visit that I wanted to test the consistency… let me just say… the second time was better than the first!! I ordered the sour cream chicken Enchiladas dinner and my girlfriend had the fajitas.. both were served hot and fast abs they were so delicious! Wonderful service, too! Friendly and helpful! This is now my favorite Mexican food restaurant! Nice job!!!

We were traveling through Texas when we stopped in the small town of Sherman and found this great little spot. The food is authentic and excellent! My husband and I both had the street tacos on handmade tortillas. He had the Barbacoa and I had the pork cheek and the nopale (cactus). They were all delicious and much larger than I expected! The chips were fresh with great sauces, and the ladies were so friendly. I also had a desert that was new to me, Fresas con crema with strawberries, that was very yummy! We were only traveling through, but we drove around their small square in town and it had some shops I would have liked to visit. All in all a fantastic find!

The food was good and service was good the first time I went. I went a few months later, and the food was so horrible I will never go back. I’m sure you can see how burnt the meat is in the second picture. I had to send it back, and when they replaced it, it wasn’t much better. Needless to say I left hungry.
