We LOVE LOVE LOVE El Tapatio! Always on the lookout for good, new, Mexican food, we were recommended by some friends to try this place out. They said, “Get the Pinapple Fajitas! You won’t regret it!” They couldn’t have been more right! This easily serves two people and comes with a choice of chicken, steak, or shrimp. We usually do a combo with chicken and steak! I should warn you, you’ll be back! There isn’t a ton of seating, but we’ve never had a problem getting right in. The service is quick and friendly. This quickly became our favorite place to eat, even though it’s a bit of a drive for us. Totally worth it! I wish I could comment on the other items on the menu, but the Pineapple Fajitas is the only thing we ever get! Tell them Ryan sent you!! (just kidding, they don’t really know me!)

A little Mexican place in Payson, it was good. I ordered one beef and one chicken enchilada. I didn’t love the flavor of the chicken. The red sauce was great though. I think I should’ve tried the pineapple fajitas as many have mentioned.

Best pineapple fajitas!! I get them everytime. I like to get both steak and chicken. You can easily share them and still take some home. Comes with beans and rice, also chips and salsa.

We got the 3 meat pineapple fajitas and they were so delicious! It comes with shrimp, steak, and chicken and a bunch of vegetables and pineapple, easily enough for 2 people to share. They could’ve added more pineapple in the dish but overall it was one of the better fajitas I’ve ever had. Definitely worth a trip out to Payson to try it. Also their horchata was really good while the Jamaica wasn’t the best. I’d recommend not getting it.

My husband and I came here to eat, and it was awesome! Our waitress, Trice, was AMAZING! There was never a time I had to awkwardly wait or try to get attention — she was on top of her game and gave excellent service! The food came out so fast too, and it was delicious!

Delicious food. Check price first. Stopped in for lunch. Saw a pineapple dish at another table and ordered one one me, one for my wife. Bill came, two lunches, two soft drinks, + tip was just over $60.00

This is a great little treasure in the heart of downtown Payson! The store front is narrow as are most “old town” establishments but the food is big on serving size and flavor! The menu has a great variety of regular Mexican items but adds in some unique dishes as well. Service was attentive and the waitress was very knowledgeable and willing to make suggestions. I recommend this for a fun, very casual date night or get together with friends. It’s on the small size for space, but we went around 4 pm on a week night so there was no crowd to deal with.

Finally made here on a recommendation for the Piña Fajitas. Grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, and pineapple with traditional onion and peppers served in a pineapple husk. The grilled pineapple gave the fajitas a unique flavor that we loved. This is the only thing on the menu we tried, but can recommend the fajitas with 5 stars.

Wow! The food was excellent! The seafood was so fresh and really tasty, I never tried anything that delicious before in the USA. The portions are so big, between my husband and I were able to just eat half of the Pineapple. The price was the lowest we’ve ever paid for seafood around.

We were driving from Salt Lake city to Zion National Park and stopped in Payson for lunch. Ordered Super Nacho with shredded beef. It was delicious. We found their Salsa very unique with lots of cilantro.
