Came for Breakfast while in the area. We had potatoes and egg plate, Barbacoa plate, and French toast. Food was excellent. Beans and tortillas were awesome. Service was really good. Place was clean , great atmosphere. Would come back lots of menu items.

Sadly this was the only thing i had to eat. I ordered my food and ordered the appetizer, and only got served my appetizer. Ate my appetizer about 15 min, waited another 30 min for my food and never got it. I had enough and was leaving, i told the cashier i was only served the appetizer and was willing to pay for that and leave. They wanted me to pay for my whole meal that i never even got served, and told me to finish waiting for it as well. I said here is the money that more than covered my served bill and u was leaving. They then wanted me to pay half the full bill, i said did you serve half of my meal. Either way i paid and left, it was horrible experience will never go again. If you dont mind waiting atleast 45 min for food than by all means try this place out. I will never recommend this to my friends and family.

One of my favorite local restaurants. They always serve everything FRESH, FAST, And are so FRIENDLY. Their agua frescas are made fresh to order and are delicious each time. Even if they’re about to close, if your in there minutes before closing, they WILL serve you with a smile and the food is still delicious and fresh!

You won’t appreciate this place until you move to Austin a bigger city with no good taco spots. For the price, quality, and quantity you can’t beat el tap. Been coming here since hs (2011)& it’s Just as good as I remember

Came back again after the remodeling. Ordered the steak and eggs for breakfast. Daughter ordered pancake plate with over easy eggs. The steak was very good I liked the spices/dry rub they used, the portion size was good. The ranchero sauce very good the salsa Verde was excellent. Service was great. My only complaint was the over easy eggs were cooked a bit long to over med-hard. The waitress took back my over hard eggs and had some more over easy eggs made, this time they were perfect. The remodel was very nice. Clean, pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.
