The food itself is fine, I ordered two very basic corn tortilla tacos with rice/beans. The gal who rang me up seemed like a sweetheart. The building is neither air-conditioned nor is there anything inside that added to the meal — no music or anything like that. Getting it to-go would make it a 4-star meal. Price is very fair.

If you want big size tacos then this is your place. This place doesnt hold back on the meat but for a good reason. The price of the tacos are much more but you get a lot of meat. I do recommend this place to add a second tortilla. The meat is juicy and it tears the tortilla up fast.

I’d had the street tacos, chicken, steaks and pork, and they were awesome. The pork torta was massive and tasted fantastic. I regret not stopping at the food truck before they settled at this location. Of the two times I’ve been in, the staff was always friendly and the place was spotless.

A few months back I noticed something was being built in the old Texas D’s and Kolaches/Heavenly Donuts location on 7th street. When I saw it was going to be the home for El Taco Loco, I knew I wanted to stop in and try it since I could never make it to the food truck. So on a Saturday I was running errands around town and as I drove by I found myself very hungry. I was glad to see they were open and turned around. I noticed there were several cars parked here and I had to park by an adjacent building. You seat yourself and when you are ready to order you go to front counter. I ordered the 3 Taco special since each taco had a different meat. With the 3 Taco special you get 1 taco with chicken, 1 taco with beef, and 1 taco with pork. I got water to drink as diet Dr. Pepper was not available. My tacos were prepared fairly quick and I asked for both of the hot sauces. These tacos come in a soft and crispy corn tortilla. Also they have a bunch of cilantro, so if you do not like cilantro, you might be picking these off of your tacos. Personally I believe you can never have enough cilantro!!! I put both the green and red hot sauces on each of the tacos and love the flavor those brought to the dish. Overall I thought the tacos were good, but the next time I visit, I plan to try one of the burritos. Keep in mind that this is the most updated Menu. Myself and friend had the Burrito Loco, we couldn’t finish it. It was amazing tho! So much flavor and very filling! I recommend trying it for your family as it will easily feed 4-5 people without a doubt. I ate a third to see if I could come close to eating this in the 10 minute challenge and there is just no way… amazing place to eat and great prices. A hidden jewel in Joplin. If you’ve never been, you are missing out!

Fast service . Great food. Owners are friendly. It’s very nice inside . They are great with. Children . Ive eaten in before ,but mostly take out now. But it’s always the same quality of food ,service and friendliness. I go two to three times a week.
