Since my wife Sanjua and I arrived to Santa Barbara, our dream was to open a restaurant. Thanks to the support of our families and friends, we were encouraged to open the first El Sitio Restaurant on Salinas Street in 1989.
Thanks to you, our valued clients, we now have three more locations serving authentic Mexican food in Santa Barbara and Goleta: De La Vina Street, Fairview Avenue, and Calle Real.
We invite You – our distinguished
clients – to try our Tortas, Tacos, Burritos, and Specialties.
Our wish is that after tasting our food, you come back to El Sitio!

This little restaurant hidden behind 7-11 is OUTSTANDING!!!. The staff are so Sweet and very helpful. The portions are very large and extremely delicious. The tortilla are as fresh as can be,as is all that we bought today. If you want authentic Mexican food AND treatment.

The food is amazing, a little spicy but it’s authentic Mexican food. The staff is great and they are friendly and very helpful. The building and decor could use a bit of an update but it’s not a deal breaker. Love this place!

Lady answering the phone is SO RUDE. I accidentally placed an order to wrong store and called this place to let them know my mistake! and that I was going to order at another location (to be honest I didn’t need to..) Well she says “ Why did you go there and why did they take your order? Now I have to throw away the food.” Like really? First of all I have personal reasons why I cant make it and 2nd of all employees are just doing their job taking my new order. I’ve worked restaurants all my life and we know that doesn’t happen! And if it does well thats not the right way to speak to a customer ; plus were humans and we all make mistakes! Not coming back to this location at all!

Okay this place is amazing! The staff is always so wonderful too! Truly the closest thing to authentic homemade Mexican food. I understand that with any restaurant cross contamination is a thing but unfortunately here I occasionally end up with meat in my food, despite ordering veggie options. I just remove it and keep eating though so it’s not an issue but I’m putting a 5/5 either way because it’s so worth it. Other than that we eat here pretty often and I wish the company all the success in the world because they are so wonderful. Don’t forget to order your horchata because it just ties the meal together.

I love El Sitio! They have been my go-to in graduate school. Friendly staff and delicious food at an affordable price. My favorites are the torta de carnitas and the Chile verde burrito.

El Sitio is a great local Mexican Food place. The food is simple, fresh and tasty, at a modest price. It’s mostly Tacos and Burritos but they have several other choices, all very good. I’ve had several selections on their menu but my favorite is the #1, Brocheta de Pollo. They have a nice selection of salsas and places to sit inside and out at the 7398 Calle Real location. The place is clean, the help friendly and I love looking at the many pictures of El Sitio, Mexico while waiting for my order. Try this one you will not be disappointed.

Very good food, ate here all the time In high school, was cool reminiscing on the past. And was reminded how really very good food these folks make. Daily special 2 tacos, beans and rice for 6 bucks is pretty hard to beat.

Staff is awesome. Burgers very good, but a little over cooked. Sweet potato fries and regular fries not so great. Price very reasonable. Didn’t try the pizza, but it looked good.

I get their special: two mini tacos (soft) with choice of meat (I like adobado), optional onions & cilantro (yes please) rice and refried beans. $6. I put my own cheese on at home. Very good!

Good authentic Mexican Food. Good location and easily accessible for the locals in the area. They have a good lunch special of 3 tacos or 2 tacos with rice and beans. All the food is cooked to order and fresh.
