I ordered the oxtail stew with rice and beans for takeout. The oxtail was chewy, dry, flavorless, and absolutely disgusting. It was inedible, so I threw the dish out — what a waste. The food tasted like what I imagine dog food might taste like. I can’t take this place seriously after this.

Hey, listen up, folks! El Sazon De Las Americas in Jersey City, it’s the real deal! Let me tell ya, the moment you walk through those doors, you’re greeted with the scent of spices and flavors that’ll make your mouth water in anticipation.

Spontaneously decided to go in here yesterday and boy was I glad I tried it! I didn’t realize it was pretty authentic Dominican restaurant! I was pleasantly surprised.

ordered a “yaroa”. easily the worst yaroa i’ve ever had in my life. i ordered with confidence bc this is allegedly a dominican spot. this is TRIFLIN. the first pic w the american cheese is what i ordered. the 2nd pic in the styrofoam (from google) is what it’s supposed to look like.

The bacon, egg, and cheese is out of this world. The pernil (roast pork) is a huge serving with rice and plantains and is also delicious. We saw a man ordering the oxtail sauce on top of the pernil and it was amazing! The iced coffee is sweet and milky and sugary. Overall love this place

Edit: upgraded to 5 stars because their pernil was amazing. What’s more amazing is that you pay ~$10 and have enogh food for 2. The servers are also quite nice when you start chatting with them.

The food sometimes is good , sometimes is not , and sometimes they give you good enough, sometimes is very a little bit . Depends on who’s serving you , today The beans rice is so hard to chew . Have to throw it away , only 4 small pieces of chicken’, even no potatoes and carrot , very disappointing

Worse service ever, there were 3 women behind the counter and only one was working. Took over 10min before I was acknowledged. The pernil was extremely salty, NOT flavorful just plain salty. There octopus salad was rubber and barely had octopus in it. Will not be returning. Disgusted

Bought two different kind of empanadas. Cheese and chicken. You can obviously tell which one is chicken. The meat was dry and hard. The one with the black stuff is supposed to be cheese. I don’t know what it is but it’s definitely not cheese. I’m not saying they have horrible food but you cannot sell this to people. Hopefully we don’t get sick Take them off the menu!!!!
