I would be willing to bet, that at one time long ago, there was a sign on this building that read “Gas-Beer-Ice-Worms.” It looks like it has to have been in a previous life, an old-time, small-town convenience store where you pull in, gas up the boat, fill the ice chest with cheap PBR, grab a pack of night -crawlers and head to the lake. Now, the small inconspicuous building is split down the middle. A dispensary providing medicinal stress relief to the community operates in the west side and the family owned and operated Taqueria El Sabor Jarocho restaurant fills the remaining half.

My dad came to visit so we brought him out to eat for his birthday. He loved it! The Fajitas were amazing too! I had the chimichunga, you can never go wrong with that! My kids got the tortas, and they ask for another one daily!

My family loves this small family owned and operated restaurant. The food is amazing! It’s mainly a family of 4, the boys are the servers, Mom and Dad cook. They serve tamales on Saturdays and Sundays. And Street tacos every day for around $2 each! So good. Only downfall is its very small, lunch crowd can fill the entire restaurant quickly. They have about 6 tables, plus an outdoor space. They do offer a drive thru pickup window though and there is 2 parks less than a mile away.

Great place to grab food, I’d come here before I’d go to any other places in town! Perfect spot easy drive thru and great service. They also offer dine in ! If your in town check them out

Don’t let this place being in an old gas station fool you. The food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and check on you frequently. I had the pollo loco and can say without hesitation it’s the best I’ve ever eaten. When I say I’m craving Mexican food *this* is exactly the flavor I crave. 10/10 will eat again.

I had the beef fajitas, pork and pineapple tacos and queso. Everything was delicious. I would have given the service 5 stars because they were quick and delivered to my car, but I didn’t get any chips. If I order from there again, I would get fajitas with the pork and pineapple. Also I would make sure I got my chips. It may be a small thing to bring up, but I don’t get to eat out very often. I chose El Jabor because they didn’t have dessert and was looking forward to the chips and queso. Still overall great restaurant.

Food is always great, We always get our food to go, Unfortunately our order is never correct And we either go back or we try something new! Haven’t had anything bad from here though! I like that it’s authentic and family owned!

Decided on a whim to visit this place after hearing so much about them. I’m so glad I did! WOW! The street tacos were by far my favorite. I ordered two of each meat choice for my wife and I. It was so delicious I actually got goosebumps! I ordered enchiladas and the chori Pollo as well and it was all absolutely perfect! We’ll definitely be visiting this place often now!

This place was recommended by the local police (random Convo) and he said the food reminded him of Los Angeles. Welp! that’s where I’m from so my son and I went. Place is fire (that means very good). And they are very nice. Just show them the pictures and they will do the rest. Oh yes, in my opinion I judge any Mexican restaurant by their bean and cheese, Wow!
