Good food for good prices. A local favorite. Owner is pretty cool. Food isn’t too spicy. We love their cheese dip. My favorite’s get there are the Chicken El Rio, the Veggie El Rio, and the Chicken Spinach. The chicken is usually pretty thin so a little tough but has good taste and never underdone.

Charming place in Copper Hill, TN. We ordered Pollo Tropical, a grilled chicken dish and Nachos Supreme. The nachos have both shredded chicken and beef, along with beans, lettuce and tomato and topped with a melted cheese sauce. They were both great! I actually went back the next day to get more nachos before leaving town! Nice atmosphere too with plenty of seating. Charmingly decorated with a fountain.

Lucky for us, our first dinner choice was closed. That sent us wandering and we stumbled upon El Rio. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that Mexican food in North Georgia felt very sketchy to me, but paint me shocked; it’s was pretty darn good.

The call them self authentic but they don’t have traditional drinks in the Mexican cuisine. I order some tacos i because it was in the lunch special I couldn’t change the beef for chicken. Same for the side, I couldn’t change the fried beans for black beans.

The food we had at El Rio was awesome. It was a holiday weekend and we received excellent, quick service. We had the Mexican guacamole, fajitas and carnitas and it was all amazing. Chips were also awesome, they taste homemade. We’ll definitely be back!
