We got a plate of carne asada sopes and a carne asada torta. All were freshly served and toasty warm. Sopes came with lettuce, beans, cheese on top. The carne asada was good, but a little on the salty for my personal preference. You can’t beat the hand made sopes tough as they were fried to golden perfection. My husband loved the torta and stated that the carne asada was not salty because he couldn’t even tell in the midst of all the other delicious goodness in the torta. The green salsa was just spicy enough with jalapeños; he loved it! Overall, we loved it. They had all my favorite snacks and treats from Mexico. The music sounded like home. If you miss your Mexican mom’s cooking, this is the place to go! Highly recommend!!!

Their tacos are out of this world!!! So loaded with goodness that I end up eating part of it with a fork. Corn cups are the best I’ve had since living in the Rio Grande Valley. A wonderful family owns this place and they provide excellent service.

What can I say, other than Delicious I was looking for a taco spot on the way home and I’m glad my mom and sister recommended this today for sure I will go back. All NATURAL Aguas Fresca the limonada was great but the cucumber and lime was awesome 100% recommended

I have visited this place several times and it is a traditionally very good place. I always buy tacos and they are delicious. My children love them. The ice pops are always frozen just right. They come fresh, and not to mention the churros, they are freshly made, warm and crunchy and have a rich cinnamon flavor.

Partner and I were driving through Rockdale and googled “authentic Mexican”. El rinconcito did not disappoint!! My gordita al pastor was toasted to perfection and the elotes we’re just like you’d find at a Mexican fair! Loved it

Really good. It may not look like much from the outside and there are only a few tables outside to eat, but the food is excellent is very reasonably priced. Skip the sit-down places in town and eat here!
