Found this qwaint latin gem and hope that it survives . The food is typical equadorian fare and prices aer very reasonable. I ate twice here .Once for dinner and the next day for breakfast (thats right) . For dinner I thouught I was hungry but after ordering only an appetiser I was full lol. I ordered whats called a Bolillo which is smashed green plantain thats filled will lil bits (a lot) of crispy pork rind ,meat and mozzetella cheese . its presented as a ball the size of a baseball over a meat sauce thats very flavorful . Im from Puerto Rico. and we have a similar dish albiet served differently that we call” mofongo”. It was delishcious ! After eatting I wss happily full. My suggestion would be to make it smaller or warn the person who may not know the portion size. The next day I ordered a very traditional breakfast thats served called Bsndeja paisa its a fried egg served over rice and beans with avocado and steak . Again very good . Please try this place out itll be worth the trip.

We stopped in here on impulse on a Friday night– we know nothing of South American food. Simple dining room, spacious and clean. BYOB. I loved the humas appetizer- just a simple steamed corn cake but with a toasty caramel note. The main dishes took a little longer but not too long- maybe 20-25 min?- but was really fresh and hot. I had the traditional fritada plate. The menu mentioned pork chunks but what came out this time was roasted pork ribs. I thought they would be tough- they were not! Tender but not falling apart, not highly spiced so the pork flavor came through. Came with a tasty hominy saute (the last hominy I ate was canned back in the 1970s) with corn nuts (!?), plantain cakes, and a side of an onion/tomato/lime salad. Just delicious. Husband had a similar dish with ribs and eggs. Served with a creamy-looking sauce on the side which seemed to be a salty-tangy blend of lime, chile, maybe tomato and who-knows-what. Staff was kind. Nice introduction to Ecuadorian cuisine and a good value. Menu says they serve breakfast; one day I will get my act together and come by. Give it a try.

One of the worst places to order food for home delivery. Today we ordered lunch at 11:45 in the morning. It’s 1:45 in the afternoon now and we are still waiting on it. Totally unprofessional.

Food is great but it took over 20 minutes to take our order after we asked for 2 extra min. Then it took over 1 hour for our food while others got their food faster then us.also apparently they forgot my order so it took even longer. But the food is freshly made.

Truly a gem of a place. Fantastic value. The grilled trout was one of the best I have ever had. The house made Tamarillo sauce is a rare find. Stewed chicken was a exactly the thing you might want on a winters day. Local residents should be proud to have a cozy place with such interesting cuisine
