We came to El Rey De La Papa Y La Paisa a few weeks ago for lunch. Overall, the food ranged from good to OK, with the highlight being the Empanadas, while other bites weren’t as tasty or as nicely done. The staff was friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible but, the service was erratic in some basic aspects.

Again my wife and I purposely look for a small diner. This place fit all the markers for us. We wanted some authentic Cuban fare and found it. Great taste and quality Steak and onions with yellow rice and black beans. Chicharonnes and sweet plantains with crème. Oh and let’s not forget the empanadas chicken and beef.

Not bad at all! El Rey De La Papa Y La Paisa is one of the few Colombian restaurants in this area (most of the others are further south toward Kissimmee) so I guess in that respect, it’s the best Colombian restaurant in this area! As a group, we ordered several different things from their menu, and they all were bigger plates with a whole bunch of different things on them. I definitely have to come here a few more times to get a full picture of the restaurant, but from my first time coming, I don’t have many complaints. The food was flavorful, the servings were huge, and the prices were good! You can lunch for as cheap as $7 here, or maybe even less?!

As a fellow Colombian, all of the food especially the Sancocho, empanadas, frijoles, and churrasco felt just like home! All of the meals we had were a big portion and so delicious with so much flavor! I ordered parcha juice which was so good too. Our servers were so nice and made sure we had everything hot and fresh. My entire meal was worth every penny. Highly recommend. You wont regret it.

Very yummy food that treated authentic from what I can tell. The service was fast, and the portions were large and flavorful. Loved the potato supreme but would definitely add a little more protein to it next time, probably the shredded beef. Tried a bit if the pork loin and octopus salad and were tasty! Everyone was happy with their food! I would come here again for sure and recommended to friends!

The food here is incredible and authentic, as a Puerto Rican myself I come here for all my comfort food needs and also enjoy the Colombian aspects as well! The staff is always so kind and welcoming and the environment is always nice, clean & a great relaxing atmosphere. Would recommend to all!!!

Long wait to get food. Drinks have no refills. Chicken had too much fat in it. A/C not functioning properly. It felt hot. Prices are high in relation with quality of food. Would not come back.

We ventured out to try this place due to the latest review being 5 stars. We arrived and were the only people in the restaurant for some time before another 2 people eventually came. We ordered an appitizer of chicharones and it came out with the meal instead of before. Then I ordered carne asada and my wife ordered a fried pork dish.

Great experience eating at this Colombian restaurant. We had the Bandeja paisa para 2 con churrasco and it was delicious. We also ordered the tostones con ahogao, which was also very good. I was also introduced to refajo con Malta, which my first time having it this way. We plan on coming back and trying some other dishes.
