I thought the food here was okay, but I’ve had better Mexican food elsewhere for cheaper.

Authenticity warms my heart. Loved the entire experience. You are greeted with a feel as if you just stepped into the door of your abuelas house. Chips and the best salsa I have had thus far in Seattle. I had the fresh margarita which made the bike ride home fun. The chimichanga with picadillo was delicious. I had more than enough food with half a chimichanga to go home. I tried the flan for dessert and again its the authenticity for me. It wasn’t the prettiest flan but definitely made from the heart. Most of all I loved the music which completed the vibe. I’ll definitely be returning to try more from the menu.

Visited for Valentine’s Day dinner looking at the ratings on google but did not find it impressive. The food did not feel fresh. Taste was pretty average. Took wrong orders and charged crazy for final bill. Also the receipt was handwritten we could hardly understand why there were so many extra charges.

Best Mexican restaurant around. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Food is consistently great and never disappoints.

Not bad, kind of a loud spot with all the Magnolia families, little leagues, etc. My pork was overcooked and tough so I ate the rice & tortilla + sauce of the pork. Prices are moderate. I likely won’t go back again.

The most consistent levels of food & service. Trying new things on the menu will not disappoint either. Recommend ordering a side of their housemade Chipotle sauce.

We went on Cinco de mayo. We arrived early before the dinner crowd, highly recommended. Entered a warm fiesta style greeting and were treated to live Mexican guitars. The food and drinks were perfect especially the green chile sauce!! At the end of our dinner the owner came over to our table and greeted us and treated us by sharing in a shot of tequila that he had with him.

Best salsa I have ever had. Ever. Service is great, and they happily accommodate vegan orders. A fun place to have a casual dinner, and reliably good food.

One of the most gawd-awful meals I have ever had in my life. I felt like sending it back and requesting mouthwash. My friend ordered the same dish, which arrived cold, so she asked that it be microwaved to heat it up, and it came back burnt on the underside. Even the chips & salsa were horrible. A co-diner requested more salsa, which never came.

My first time to El Ranchon was on New Year’s day. After living in SoCal for many years, Mexican has become my go to cuisine. After moving back to the PNW, I have been quite disappointed in the quality of most Mexican food available here. El Ranchon was probably the best exception to that rule that I have found. The carnitas was as good as any I have ever had. A friendly, helpful wait staff and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended!
