The El Rancho Restaurant is a great place to stop for quality TexMex food on a long ride down 287. We have to stop in every time we make it back to the Texas panhandle. I had the chimichanga smothered in queso. It had the same warm, savory flavor it’s had for years. Our waitress was kind and attentive though pretty rushed on a busy Saturday afternoon. This is why you come to Texas!

We went to El Rancho Saturday evening. They had rap music playing so loud that you couldn’t hear each other talk. There was a man walking around with two beers in his hand and a hoodie on. Didn’t look very safe. After we asked to have music turned down they did so but not much. Don’t know if we will go back. I really do like food there
