07/06/23 I ordered a torta de asada, 2 tripa tacos and an agua de horchata, the meat does not have a good seasoning- lack of flavor the torta funny taste / very small tacos for their price – im sorry but I did not like the food , no coming back to order food from here, I only liked the horchata.

If this is the same El Rancho that used to be on the corner of State and Chestnut in Chicago back in the 70s, and I believe it is, they have the most delicious burrito de carne asada I’ve ever eaten. I’ve ordered burritos in cities all over the country hoping to find one that tasted as good as El Rancho’s, and never did.

The food isn’t good I would recommend going to another restaurant. Another thing is that the women attending is very rude and forgetful. Just go somewhere else it’s not worth it coming here.

The food is pretty decent and we have been coming here for years but the last few times I came they have had issues with taking my order and under serving. They seemingly would not allow me to pay for extra meat portions for a carry out order and gave me responses that did not seem very professional. Also, the customer service related to carry out orders has seen a noticeable dip in quality. I normally don’t complain or write reviews but this was the only way to express how unsatisfactory the service has been as of late.

I’m not going to say I’m a taco expert, but I sure eat alot of them. And I’ll tell you, these were, hands down, the absolute best steak tacos I’ve had in DuPage county. Period. Better than A Toda Madre, better than the taco trucks everyone brags about and drives to, better than every small grocery store on North Avenue I’ve tried. Better. The steak was piled high, lean and diced small, the onions were both raw and had cooked onion served on the side, the tortillas weren’t soggy. Price was on pointe. I will be going back for sure. Great job guys!
