That’s Tacoma
A little piece of Central America right here in the grit city. This place is one of my favorites to eat in all of Tacoma. A traditional Salvadorian/Honduran restaurant with pupusas y plátanos! Not only do you get the curtido, their black refried beans are delicious too. They also have one of the best carne asada tacos in T-town, just sayin. The chicken soup is a must try on a rainy day and if you don’t want pho ¯_(ツ)_/¯ it’s a solid food option on S. T-Way.

The salsas are worth the cost and the wait. Be sure to ask for the salsas. Please do not leave without.

Every variety of pupusa here tastes different and excellent. Their burritos are on point. They have the only hot sauce in the area I legitimately find spicy. Nothing but compliments for this place.

They’re amazing. We’ve ordered takeout several times and they’re always so nice and get it all done quick. GET SOME PUPUSAS AHOGADAS IF YOU’RE THERE

This place has been our go to spot for about a year. But after tonight they lost our business! We DON’T eat meat and tonight we each ordered the 3 papusa combo. I’m eating my food and every other bite I’m thinking this tastes different. But I’m checking the papusas and they have spinach. Not until the last bite do I notice the papusa on the BOTTOM had meat(pork) in it!! We are so disappointed, and after looking at my boyfriend’s food his also had meat on the bottom papusa. They lost our service after tonight it’s so unfortunate we don’t eat meat and prefer not to.

Food was alright but the service was not up to par. First when we arrived the the server just told us to sit anywhere and dropped some menus off she said that when we were ready we could go up front and order or food at the register we thought that was normal now due to COVID-19 but then 2 new tables came in and she gave them full table service. This realy made me and my mother feel discriminated. Then when our food came the salad that comes with the popusas was almost frozen it had ice chips and watery. I ordered coffee and the pitcher was dusty and gross. Overall the only good thing was the popusas but I don’t think I will come in again.

I really can’t complain about the food, but the service today was not the best. I called in an order and they said they would take 20-25 minutes for us to get our order out to us which is understandable but we we waited almost an hour before we got our take out order. We saw people come in and order take out and they got their food before we did. Our lunch was wasted because of the wait when we only ordered 4 pupusas.

Food is good and reasonable prices. Had four carne asada tacos, one corn tamal, one horchata, wife had 5 delicious cheese popusas and one mundet drink. Our bill was less than $50. Thee cheapest restaurant I’ve been to. In general food is delicious but service is really slow.

Excellent! I love this place, very friendly. They had no problem not putting cheese in pupusas in attempt to keep as vegan as possible!
