A unique opportunity to experience some authentic Salvadoran food as well as Mexican food. I opted for the authentic food from El Salvador today. It was filling and tasty. The plantains were delicious and the chicken tamale and pupuso were very good…

Was driving by when I stopped on a whim. Man at counter wouldn’t respond when I asked questions in English or in Spanish. I ordered the Pupusa plate and a small fountain drink and was charged $16. There were no prices anywhere and I didn’t think to google their menu. Afterwards I discovered I was overcharged. The pupusas had texture of wet sand, couldn’t pick them up. Beans had weird spoiled taste. Rice was very bland. Very disappointed. Will not return.

Delicious lunch in Abilene! A great small restaurant with amazing food. Enjoyed the El Tipico with a jalepeño and cheese pupusa. Also had a big glass of horchata.

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! THE WORKERS ARE RUDE!!! IF YOU ORDER FOOD AND THEY DONT HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE THE FOOD THEY JUST TAKE WHAT THEY HAVE MADE AND PUT IT TOGETHER INSTEAD OF JUST SAYING… THAT ISNT AVAILABLE TODAY!!! TODAY I ORDERED A CRISPY TACO WHEN I GET THE TACO THE SHELL WAS SO SOGGY WHEN I PICKED THE TACO UP THE INGREDIENTS CAME OUT. ITS BECAUSE FOR THE MEAT THEY PUT GROUND BEEF AND POTATO WITH A GRAVY IN IT. THATS NOT WHAT A CRISPY TACO IS!!! WHEN I WENT BACK TO TELL THEM THEY GOT MAD AT ME!!! LOL… WHO WOULD EAT A SOGGY WET CRISPY TACO? If the cook won’t eat it then you shouldn’t serve it! THEN HAVE A ATTITUDE BECAUSE I BRING BACK TRASH!!!! I HATE TO POST ON SMALL BUSINESS LIKE THIS BUT THIS MADE ME SO UPSET BECAUSE YOU BASICALLY GAVE ME TRASH AND EXPECTED ME TO EAT IT! BAD BUSINESS! DONT EAT HERE!

I have nothing to compare it to except Mexican or text mex and it was differently delicious. My wife had the spinach enchiladas and I had the salvadorian plate. Tiny hole in the wall type place in a tiny strip center. Worth finding!!!

What a great place for lunch and Salvadorian food! Great food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, easy to find from the street, plenty of parking. I highly recommend the salvadorian plate, pork & cheese pupusa and green pozole.

I have picked up, eaten in, and had delivery. This is one of my very favorite places in Abilene. The spices are absolutely perfect. My favorites are the tacos Al pastor and tamals (they sell both this fluffier kind and regular tamales). Their burritos, enchiladas, and pupusas are wonderful too. When in doubt, choose pork. Everything is fabulous. Window has only limited menu listed but serves full menu that’s online.
