We were very pleased with the quaint restaurant. Greeted immediately and with enthusiasm by their staff. Promptly served our chips and dip. Notice several staff members quickly cleaning as a party left.

While in the area for business I discovered this little gem. Walking in I first recognized how clean the place is. I was then greeted by a smiling young lady that treated me with such sweet kindness. After sitting I started looking over the menu and recognized the background music to be Christian music. This was a super nice treat. I ordered tacos and enjoyed great chips and salsa while waiting. The tacos arrived and the experience continued to be excellent…wonderful food. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will certainly be back.

Food and service were both outstanding. The only reason I gave 3 stars on atmosphere was because they sat me in the front area by the register and I had to watch, and listen, to the staff as they worked, stocked a fridge, etc. Again, food and service was great but perhaps this front area should be used for guests picking up to go orders or waiting for a table in the dining room, not for sit down eat in customers.

We had such a great experience dining in at El Potrillo. The staff were super friendly and fun. The food was delicious. And the dessert out of this world. Cannot wait to visit again when I’m in lake Jackson next.

WATCH YOUR BILL!! They add fees for things and don’t tell you. On other occasions they write so sloppy that the person entering it in the register can’t read it and charges more than what is owed. On multiple occasions we’ve been over charged. We are done with this restaurant and won’t be going back. They’ve lost an entire family of customers over their scamming over charges.
