Food was ok got the mixed fajitas barely any chicken the meat it self needed some more seasoning. The tortillas were not home made which in a mexican restaurant should always be. The service was great very friendly. Atmosphere could use some music going especially when it’s empty.

I don’t give many reviews but the quality of this meal was so good that I felt that I had to. Our family of four came on a Friday evening. The food came really fast. All the servers were very friendly. Our meals were fantastic and large. We weren’t able to finish our portions and we didn’t even order appetizers. Will definitely be back.

I always love treating myself and my friends to a meal from El Portal, it’s like going to your grammas quality food, and the service is beyond impeccable, clean is not an accurate word to describe the care the team takes to make sure they and their establishment are presentable and the clientele is comfortable.

I lived in SoCal growing up, there was a woman that stood outside a store and sold tamales for $1. This restaurant was the closest I’ve found to authenticity, and her Tamales. I’ve been to about 10 Mexican restaurants, this is by far the best food, and excellent staff.

Not even worth one star, to be honest. We visited here this evening and the service was absolutely terrible, the food subpar. We were sat at a table promptly, only to sit waiting for our order to be taken by the waiter after 30 minutes by flagging him down, as he seemed to have forgotten we were there, and they weren’t even that busy! Our food and drink arrived more quickly than the time it took to have our order taken, and the food was lukewarm. Plus my husband said no sour cream and asked for guacamole instead, as he has a severe food allergy to dairy. His food arrived with sour cream but no guacamole. We let another server know, and he brought the guacamole. When we let our actual waiter know of our dissatisfaction overall, he got a total attitude , and we weren’t even being rude about it. He was just overall not attentive, acted like he could care less about our business or any of our concerns, and it’s a huge disappointment because we’ve had mostly positive prior experiences and yummy food there. Not going back and I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you don’t mind cold food and even colder waitstaff.

Best Mexican food in Washington State. Authentic and fresh. They don’t skimp on anything. Staff is amazing. Safe and clean and COVID ready. Must stop for lunch if your passing through. We make this a special stop after a weekend in the hills camping before we return home towards the coast.
