Loved it. I was really happy to get sopa de fideos soon after we were seated. It was so yummy and welcoming! I ordered fried plantains and they were cooked to perfection. Chef’s kiss. I ordered the chicken taquitos for my entree. They were good but I found the chicken inside was a bit overcooked. The service was great. Kind, unassuming servers. When we got there, there was no music on which I was happy with. But about halfway through our meal they turned it on. It was great music it was just a tad too loud. Looking forward to going back.

I waited 15 minutes in the drive through, and I was the only car in line. They asked me if I wanted spicy sauce, I said no. But when I got home and took a bite of my burrito – it was way too spicy to eat. I had to put it in the trash. So if you love spice, and you’ve got lots of time, this might be an okay place for you.

Wow, just wow. El Pollo Tote is one of those hidden treasures of Omaha. The city has its fried and grilled chicken joints all around, but this place is different, this food is something special.

Came with my Mexican boss amd he was raving about how authentic it is. He says it is just like the food his grandma made when he was in Mexico city! The fajitas where amazing and made with ribeye! Definitely will be back and recommend to anyone looking for some authentic Mexican food!

The carnitas torta I had gotten was very delicious. A little different in how they make their tortas but very good. They put whole beans in it instead of refried and the meat was juicy. The orange sauce is nice and spicy. The green sauce was mild, but liked smothering both on my torta

The chicken we ordered was really yummy! It reminds me of El Pollo Loco” from California. We ordered family style portion and it was five of us. By the end of supper, we still had some left over to brung home. Friendly server and staff! Highly recommend trying this restaurant.

Ordered an assortment of food, hey were helpful at deciding what to get, friendly while we took our time, and accurate with the food we ordered. I’m not sure what the sauces are made with, but they’re delicious. Food is seasoned well enough that you don’t need sauce, but the sauce is good enough you want to add it.

I don’t know about this place I’m not sure I’ll be back. We went for lunch they gave us alphabet soup as a starter. The lemonade tastes more like a very sour limeade the horchata was okay. The service was hit and miss I think they could offer flour tortillas instead of just corn. The chicken and beef was dry the rice was too. The booths are too soft and you can barely reach the table. You can’t even see inside the restaurant from outside with the tinted windows. It was dead even at lunch. I mean I’ve been to alot of Mexican joints and this one is on the bottom. Was expecting my food to come out sizzling hot instead was served last night’s left overs. Very disappointed. I would rather spend the money on another airline tickets to California and eat at El Pollo loco.

This is what a torta look like here; bread, whole pinto beans, steak, a couple leaves of cilantro. Worst torta in Omaha. Where’s the crema, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, avocado, salsa, jalapenos etc?
