While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco’s delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way – on our signature open-flame grills – then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Lemon Grove,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.

This is the only location I come to when I’m in San Diego. The chicken is seasoned well, flame broiled and the kids love how they can build their own tacos. Tried the birria quesadillas, not bad for a chain restaurant but I’ve definitely had better. Feeling satisfied…

Very bad customer service ordered grub hub came to pickup sent my son in for order he ask for order by name like app says to do. they were getting ready but they refused to give without reciept so i hopped out car and explained unfortunately my phone dead heading over but i gave my whole order of what i oreder and my name showing her my phone which had dead on the way..like who else would know what was ordered without seeing order and know name on order..she look at the tag on order on counter and told me next time have your phone rudely. Which then i choose to leave since she wants to be rude because life happens phones run out of juice sometimes but me saying name on order and being able to tell you full order should have been a clue its um my order common sense. Then the rude face and 2 cents she gave next time have your phone..i actually did have my phone just happened to die as i was driving over to restaurant didnt have to be rude like made her day bad..key is i sent my son in first who ask by name for my order..she couldnt even believe him obviously..who asks for a order by name that they dont know anything about. I wasnt a driver i was a customer picking up her own order inwhich hey my phone just died at wrong time i didnt have to be punished with a rude attitude

Expected long wait so turned off car after pulling up to drive- thru window. Only to be pleasantly surprised with entire order right after turning off car.

I don’t know about you, but if I smell a toilet backed up just before eating, I loose my taste for what I want to eat. WELL, that’s what happened here!!! And don’t go to the restroom to wash your hands!!! OMG!!! I wanted to tell the Mgr. about this so badly but I didn’t want to embarrassed my friend with me. As soon as we walked ♂️in, he said “let’s get it to go.” I knew what he meant. But I really wanted this food because I came all the way from Texas to work here for a few days and we don’t have El Pollo Loco’s in East Texas. The store looked clean but the smell said otherwise! Yes, the food was great and like we expected.

This pollo loco restaurant is awful, it is 100 degrees outside and I could almost guess it is hotter inside due to no AC, they have this portable blowing hot air, saw cockroach running around ground and floor is filthy. Surprised this place is open for service.

It’s been a few years since I’ve visited this location and it wasn’t as clean & well kept as I remember it. Therefore, I got my food to go… The food was great!

El pollo loco is my to go place when I want something good and quick, this was my first time in this location and I have to say it is good, people working here are friendly and helpful, prices are good, and my food was good as well, a little cold but besides that everything was fine, convinient location close to different stores.

It’s a very big place sadly they don’t accept EBT they don’t have a dine-in but they have takeout and drive-thru due to the pandemic. I love their variety of choices of combos absolutely love churros. They speak English and Spanish so for those of you who use their family members to speak for them don’t worry there super friendly and super helpful so don’t be bashful.

Good fresh grilled chicken in a salad is good. Clean. nice. Nice workers good attitudes. But let me tell you about a time when the power went out on that street. This place stayed open and continued to serve with an amazing attitude. And I know this because I had to pick up a order and luckily they had everything cooked up and ready to go but these workers were still working in the dark. Amazing workers they always have a good attitude. I never have a problem there and now I eat there and I like it. So I would recommend this location in Lemon Grove on Broadway
