Wow, my husband bought me the beans & cheese gordita, a carne guisada gordita & 2 flour tortillas with butter, absolutely delicious! I’m not a gordita fan, but I was amazed at the savory flavor of everything. I will definitely go back for some more when ny son from Austin comes down. The prices are very reasonable, too.❤️

Been so long since I have eaten here. Brings back memories of long ago back in the 1900’s (as my kids tell me). The front of restaurant is closed. The entrance is in the back alleyway. This place is authentic to what any of us remembers growing up in the RGV with its simple and humble beginnings. There are no tables or chairs to sit in. Most of the building space is taken by the tortilla machine, kitchen and register. We ordered two flour tortilla barbacoa tacos and two flour tortillas with butter. OMG they were so good! I got there just in time to beat the rush. They also have call in orders. Take cash because they dont take credit cards. Definitely one of my new favorite places.

We were told this place makes masa for tamales, we had to go check it out since my mom was making pork tamales for the holidays & they were DELICIOUS! Family was going over to pick up tamales & my mom didn’t have enough with just one batch, she had to make another!
