I just went there and I heat up the soup in my own bowl because it wasn’t hot and good thing I look in my food and I find a baby roach floating around. This is very nasty. I am highly upset because I almost consumed this get it together for real.

I feel bad writing this, but this experience was nowhere near my expectations and I will explain why. I ordered their more popular item from Grubhub; their roast pork sandwich and a side of fries. One important note that some viewers would already know, is that I do not eat sandwiches without cheese; it does not happen. I put a note in asking to please add cheese, and I clarified whatever they have world work, but cheese on my sandwich is a MUST. They did not put cheese on, and my pork was a bit dry. Now when I was picking the food up, it took a while for me to even confirm the order because the staff did not speak english. My guess is that they did not bother to read the note, or if so they did not understand and didn’t bother to translate. That is just carelessness on their part, but at the same time they really should have staff that speak english. Not sure if it matters to them, but my dinner was ruined due to their lack of attention to detail because if a sandwich does not have cheese, I do not want it. The fries were pretty bad as well, soft and mushy opposed to krispy and on top of all that, the food cost me around 18 bucks. If you are going to charge the price of a pizza pie, I want to be full in the end, and I want every component asked for on my sandwich. If that is too much to ask, I will go to one of 1000 other spots to get a sandwich in this area. The journey continues, and this reviewer is not happy. Shout out to grubhub for refunding me, because otherwise I would have been calling this place. If I had to pick something positive to say out of this ordeal of an experience, it would be that the pork was at least seasoned. While that is nice, the fact that it was bone dry and without my requested toppings did not help. I would skip this place.

Horrible, is the only way to describe what I received. I am a person that loves Mofongo, if I could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner I would. I have eaten it in alot of places but this place is horrible. It is an insult to call this Mofongo. I asked for Mofongo with chicharrón and what I got was a Mofongo covering up fat. The meat was like gum or rubber band. It is like they took old left over meat and put it inside the Mofongo. Chicharrón is supposed to be crunchy, this was totally the opposite. The same way I purchased it was the same way I had to throw it out of how bad it was. My mom ordered the Mofongo with chicken and the amount of salt that was used is unexplainable. I do not recommend this place at all, do not waste your money.

Food was great. Service was a little difficult partly due to the language (accents) difference and the music that was playing. Prices were very good.

Man I’ve been to a few Puerto Rican food spots but this one was worth the trip to the Bronx. It’s fast cafeteria style serving to go or dine in. Food was awesome you need the pernil in your life.
