I like the place, it’s definitely as advertised Dominican food. I had a steak and onion meal and it was fairly good. The cut had a little muscle which normally you don’t get with that cut but it was fine. They only had two avocados and they were not ready so they didn’t serve them which was nice but it would have been nice if they had it. The drink selection is somewhat Limited, and they do not have a liquor license.

Had the moro, pernil, pollo guisado, maduros, and tostones and it was all very good. If I had one complaint, the potato salad didn’t have much flavor but everything else made up for it. And the service was good.

Let me tel you something about Merenguito. The food is so good. Plain and simple. I have ordered a few things off the menu before and it has all been delicious. Their soups are savory and the breaded steak portion can feed a small platoon of soldiers.

Food is pretty good and very inexpensive! Carne Guisada is my favorite with some rice, beans and maduros. They have some seating and parking, but in my mind it’s more of a grab and go spot.

Salty food!! I told them it was salty and they were acting like oh well!! Nothing we can do. I told them I wouldn’t pay for that, supposedly the rice came with the salty soup and they charged me $5.00 …. don’t recommend it !! Staff attention is terrible!!
