Went here tonight looking for a quick bite. We arrived around 5:30, we asked for a high chair when we walked in, the waitress didn’t bring it to the table for almost 10 minutes. We ordered the guacamole and chips, it came out pretty quickly and was very good, although very small portion for the price. We ordered our entrees not long after and it took almost 40 minutes to come out, way too long for us let alone our 19M old. I had the fajitas, they were decent, chicken and steak were overcooked. My husband had the burrito, he said it was good. The waitress was not very attentive especially for how dead the restaurant was at that time. Overall just eh.

The guac was amazing but the rest of the food was just decent. Server was very polite but slow to wait on us. It took way too long for our food to come out, maybe around a half hour. Maybe your experience will be better, who knows! I’d hate to have a small business get less business because of a review but I would like them to try better. So El Mariachi, be better.

Was looking for a fast place to have something quick to eat. This place hit the spot. Its a small well decorated place to enjoy. The service was great on my 2 occasions there. The tacos were delicious and the tostadas too! The guacamole is the best so delicious. The portion sizes for the price is reasonable as well. Highly recommend this place.

The food was so fresh and delicious. Authentic Mexican flavor is so hard to find on the island, usually have to drive to Queens. We stumbled upon this place looking for a quick dinner, a little later than usual. The staff is very kind and efficient, the food was absolutely DELISH. We had Tacos and Tostadas. the beef was flavored to perfection and was tender, the avocado was creamy and fresh. House made guacamole and salsa were absolutely delicious. overall great experience.

My recent visit to this restaurant was an absolute nightmare that left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. From the moment I stepped foot into the establishment until I finally managed to leave, everything went wrong, primarily due to the abysmal service and the waitress who seemed completely oblivious to the needs of her customers.

I really enjoyed eating here. My friend and I were looking for a local place in Hampton Bays and we ended up finding El Mariachi.

Being from California means I take my Mexican food seriously. I have eaten Mexican all throughout NYC, as well as both the North and South Forks and can say El Mariachi is one of the best. Just left after a hugely satisfying meal with my family. From the nachos loaded with fresh pico de gallo and guacamole, to the fluffy side of Spanish rice, to my now true favorite the burrito. Made just how I ordered it with simply rice and beans pico, guac and cheese; seriously delicious. Perfectly grilled and oozing melted cheese with the freshest of beans, rice and all the trimmings inside. The enchiladas were also a huge culinary feat, covered in fresh slices of avocados and radishes swimming in a red sauce with just enough heat. Maria the waitress here is simply lovely and the chef from El Salvador does not play around. Highly highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood, you will not be disappointed.

I ordered three tacos one Al Pastor, one fish, one chicken. They were all so dry and tasteless. I couldn’t even eat it. I’ve never left a bad review for anything in my life, but they were so disappointing.

Very nice family run restaurant. The steak in my fajitas was on the tough side, and the shrimp were very sparse. Underwhelming.
